Cary Grant (My Favorite Wife, Bring Up Baby, etc), Jean Arthur (Easy Living, Talk of the Town, etc), James Stewart (Destry Rides Again, Harvey, etc), Barbara Stanwyck (Lady Eve, Mad Miss Manton, etc, William Powell(My Man Godfrey, Star Of Midnight, etc), Myrna Loy( The Thin, Mr. Blandings..., etc), Ginger Rogers (Vivacious Lady, Shall We Dance, etc), David Nivens (Bachalor Mother, Bishops Wife, etc).
I always enjoyed Laurel and Hardy, Abbott and Costello, Lewis and Martin. Never got into the three Stooges or the Marx Brothers.

My wife and I are greatful that Parenthood and Private Benjamin (and other 70's, 80's, & 90's movies) are on TCM. Not necessarily during prime time.
We are fans of these two movies and to get them in letter boxed form on to tape is a thrill. We have roughly 1500 movies on tape (and more recently on DVD) and to be able to get a widescreen version off the television is just what our budget calls for.

Along with some of those already listed, Audrey Hepburn, Jean Arthur, Irene Dunne, & Barbara Stanwyck have always been on my list.

Wow, I think she would have been great as the nurse and Mame. Though I've never seen an episode, It took Murder She Wrote for me to take an interest in her body of work.
She is a talent with a lot of class.

Widescreen has always been my favorite way to watch movies and I get frustrated during P/S versions. Just this weekend I saw a little tidbit on the letter boxing compared to P/S. For anyone who is bothered by the black bars should try to catch this in between movies if they can. They would be amazed at how much movie they miss in P/S.

Keys to the Kingdom, is one on my list too. It's good to see another who would list this as one of their tops. Peck is fantasic in his struggles with faith, tolerance, and the hand he had been dealt. I love the end with sister, it was touching.

jarhfive: That is so funny (I laughed out loud) that you brought up the "Say..." lines. Many years ago my wife and I were watching some old movie and a bit actor said on first meeting the main actor, "Say, I don't like you."
We just cracked up. Ever since then we chuckle every time we here a line that starts out "Say..." We even use it around the house. "Say, who left the light on" etc.

Dale Evans? All I know or seen of Dale Evans was with Roy Rogers. Is there another Dale Evans or did she do films I haven't seen before her Roy Roger stuff. Can you suggest some of her work I may not have seen? I would be greatful - thanks
