Ha. Thanks to some tips from my good friend, Mr. Miyagi.. I mean the Grey Dude... ha. think we have figured out that it was my browser. I am posting all this from Chrome and it seems to be working.. Still have not tried "quoting" from someone else's post. But the "little" quote bubble works.. at least this well:

BUT!! I am happy to report that because I was goofing around a bit trying to see if what you suggested would work.. even though I had sort of tried that earlier in a different thread.. I DID see something I NEVER saw before while I was goofing around. It was when I tried to click on all the different little "paste" clip boards.. a box came up and said that my computer's security was not letting me paste from my own clipboard onto this website (or SOMETHING like that and) I would have to paste into this little box it was providing.. and when I tried that... it DID let me paste. But I can't figure out what HAPPENED to it.. ha. Because it disappeared.
Hmmmmm..... something to investigate perhaps. Tough break for me, I don't speak "computer-ese" ha. This will be fun.. (so very not) ha.
And hey.. at least the little smiley face guys seem to post for me.. even if they don't stay on the line I put them on.. ha.

Wouldbestar.. I keep hoping it will eventually be resolved. I haven't tried to use any color text or anything like that.. just quotes and copy and paste, etc.. so I don't know if the other stuff works or not. (I am too boring to use color.. ha. I just stick to black and white)
I'm trying not to whine too much because I know those tech dudes have a lot bigger fish to fry getting everyone logged in with the correct ID's right now, etc. So will just wait a while and see what happens.
I had a problem similar to this a while back after some sort of upgrade (I can't remember exactly but if I recall, no matter what I tried, all my paragraphs ran together.. and I could not post links from my photobucket to share pictures) And it only happened when I posted on my laptop (not on my regular computer) And I think there were a few others out there who had Windows 7 and said they had the same problem. And for whatever reasons the TCM gurus never were able to figure it out. (that I ever heard) But then "just like that".... it went away. ha. Can't recall if it happened after some subsequent upgrade or what but it never was an issue anymore.
So I am hoping it is just something like that. because THIS time I can't post on my other computer (if I don't like the problems, ha) and am stuck with the laptop (because alas.. my other computer is out to lunch.. off its beam.. one brick shy of a full load.. ha. It's all locked up and I can't even OPEN it (bah!!) And I don't have the time or money to go see about what I need to do to fix it.
Golly.. aint technology grand?? ha. But hey.. at least we can still post (even with the issues we're having) Its better than the old days when we used to have to write letters and actually stick them in the mail to correspond. (Or.. ha.. had to use carrier pigeions, or smoke signals.. or war drums.. or SOMETHING ha.)

Did I mention AGH!! ha. (Oh well.. its not the end of the world. I will try to not whine.. at least not much.. not for now.. not at this moment.. for a while, I hope. That is my plan. (maybe) HA!

He did come off a bit "over the top" to be believable there toward the end. (with all the murders and train robbing) He was more convincing when he was being "smarmy" and sleazy with Pearl. you could just see the "YUCK" coming out in him. ha. (I seriously wanted to go through my TV set and wipe that smile off his face (with a big ole two by four!) ha.
Shame on me for thinking such thoughts!

Meanwhile, Mr. Grey.. doggone it!! I just realized one of the movies (I THINK) you mentioned to me is on.. tonight.. more than HALF over, already) I didn't even know it was coming on.. I tried to catch up, but I have missed too much of it to know what is going on.. so here I am, missing out ONCE more. (bah!)

AH-HAH! I just figured out.. this message board thingie is not letting me use the "quote" feature either.. OR the "paste" feature.. at least not to post. Because last night I posted something and I THOUGHT I had quoted the original poster, and it did not show up.. but I thought maybe it was a mistake. But I just tried to quote YOU, Miss G.. and it did not show up either.. and when I "copy" something to try and paste it to show it as a quote, it won't paste.
Hmmmmm.. very interesting. (oh TCM gurus.. are you reading this??) ha.

Mostly I think I it was poor Pearl. She really broke my heart. I kept wishing and hoping she'd finally break free from that awful Lewt. but she never did.. until the end (and then yeah.. ha. it was almost comical, because it was just so OVER the top "dramatic). And yet.. I have to say.. it was really MUCH grittier than I expected (for a female to take the lead role and end the conflict that way.. wowsa.. every rock she crawled across, my fingers were aching just watching her grab onto them. (agh!)
OH.. and I do confess I l-o-v-e LOVED Lillian too, ha (at least what I saw of her anyway.

still not able to get the little url rectangle to accept my "ok" button. ha. I can get it to pop up. I can insert the link, but when I hit ok.. it just sits there.. mocking me.. ha. I can't even cancel it. (I have to hit the back arrow to get out of it. bah!) TOh well, there's bound to be these little hiccups, until it all the "new" stuff gets ironed out, I am sure.
Will just have to wait it out until they can fix it (or tell me what I'm doing wrong, ha. Because.. well you KNOW... it could be me just being ME that is the problem there, ha. (technophobia can be a very debilitating condition, you know. ha).
Maybe I will just have to have a snack while I am waiting. ha. (Let's see, hmm.. Miss G.. how about some Belgian chocolate... I'll share!)

Thanks Patful.. I actually already saw that, so that is how I got this far, ha. I can attach a picture from my computer.. but I can't seem to link anything from my photobucket. I don't like the "thumbnail sketch" so that is why I am trying to get the other to work. I am still trying to figure it out.. It COULD be a message board bug.. ha.. but I also freely admit it MIGHT just be "me being me" ha. (if my past history with new technology is any sort of good indicator)
Hey.. maybe I'll be able to solve it someday before the NEXT big upgrade. HA!!

Gasp, sniff, sob!! Oh me, Miss G.. I just finished watching the last 35 minutes or so of your Waterloo Bridge movie.. Oh for pizza's sake.. I didn't even know what it was all about and I am a blubbery mess!! (Well now I will need to go back and watch the whole thing from start to end sometime so I can A ) figure it all out, and B ) increase the profits for the KLEENEX company after I stock up (before watching)
