Kim... I know you do not know me... but I want to tell you sincerely that I have prayed for you on several occassions in the recent past. And will keep on praying as well. (And not to try and sound too "mystical" in any way, but... I never even saw this thread until just this evening, so I did not know you had these experiences recently) One other thing I will tell you, and I mean this with all respect and only out of sincere concern... sometimes our greatest needs have nothing to do with our physical circumstances... and I just want to say (without trying to sound too theological) that I can tell you from personal experience that there is a way to know peace despite whatever situations we may find ourselves to be in... And it has been to that end I have been praying for you in the past... I will add your prayer requests here to the things I have been praying for already... and will continue to lift you up. I hope it helps (even a little) to know that folks care for you, even when you think you are alone. May God richly bless you, now and always.

Hi There Miss G... I WISH I got that channel... I still would like to catch that show... (someday...) Glad you got to see Rio Grande again... OH gee. what a movie... (sniff) RE: Big Jake... you are right.. it is a violent opener (once you get past all that beginning narration... (that is one of the things I would change about the movie... all that narrating gets on my nerves...ha...) (And I am with you.. not having enough of sweet Maureen would be the OTHER thing I wish was different about this film too) I love Maureen's line about her husband: "This is a ruthless and horrible situation that calls for a ruthless and horrible man." And then it cuts to a close-up of John Wayne HA... "a ruthless and horrible man"... without the right context... ha.. we COULD be talking about... the GREY guy.. ha. I don't know what there is about Big Jake that I have always liked... but it is one of the EARLIEST memories I have of John Wayne in any film (maybe because it came out when I was a kid, and I used to watch it w/ my dad whenever it came on tv... so maybe that is where I learned to like it so much) It is not a "mushy movie" ha.. but it is a sentimental favorite. I like to watch it whenever it is on. And lucky for me, the QT likes it too... we love the whole exchange between the Duke and Boone... and whenever we want to give each other grief, we go back and forth making each other say, "I understand" ha. (but you have to say it in that quiet, begrudging "I WISH I didn't have to say it " kinda voice.. ha.

OH MY GOLLY (sorry Lynn, to interrupt your birthday wishes) I just realized I am MISSING Man of the West.. ha. (thankfully I did get to see it the last time... and got it on tape too) And then to my surprise... RIO GRANDE AND BIG JAKE are on later today as well... (and of course I am going to be gone... but my VCR is at the ready!!) HEY... I know we have rambled on both MOTW and RG... but have we ever rambled BIG JAKE??? This is one of my most fave Duke westerns ever... OH and that Richard Boone... good gravy, what a monster!!! (but he is SO good at being bad... "I understand".) I still haven't seen all of HOBSON'S CHOICE I missed about the first fifteen minutes of it the other night... but OH boy did I like this film. April... it is WELL worth seeing. Very entertaining and quite endearing.

OH my golly, Mr. Movieman... I have not dropped in on this thread for a time... and I totally missed your post. I am glad you got to check out The Narrow Margin. That is the film that started this whole thread a'walkin. Ha. I really enjoyed watching it, and so far everyone that I can recall who has commented on it seemed to like it too. And PS... It is also devoid of a movie score. This seems to make the sounds of the train all the more prominent. That is a good catch, sir. I do recall the sound being very much a main focus in certain places.. and I imagine it must have been more played up due to the lack of music. Nice ear, sir. :-)

Hello Pard... But her actions showed her age, more than anything else I don't know. I think it also showed a bit of her mom in her too. (just judging from some of what you get to see of her) But the truth is, she was a lot more about " having fun" than any of the the lofty ideals that Roy had imagined he saw in her... and she would NEVER live up to the "sweet little thing" he THOUGHT she was... and I guess I was as disapointed as HE was, ha. How Roy initially treats Marie is pretty bad, too I don't think he took her seriously at all at first, and he saw her as being in the way (pretty much like you described w/ Geoff and Bonnie.. so I guess in that way, I can see your comparison) But I really like how he took care of things once he saw she'd gotten slapped around. So were you rooting for this bad guy, Mrs. White Hat? I have to say that I was. But that doesn't mean that I was rooting for him to necessarily get away (because we ALL knew he was not going to get to do that) Let's face it... he was a VERY bad guy. But I was just hoping for him to finally give all the way in to the good man that he WANTED to be and though it came at a high price, I guess you could sat that, at the end, he did. Not true! I've been told I'm an angel! Those imaginary voices inside your head do NOT count. (HA) Where did the girls who liked love stories go? Don't tell me you're all superficial Nowhere... I LOVE a good love story. But what little of BAT I have seen doesn't "fit" that mold for me. But I guess "romance" is sometimes in the eye of the beholder, ha. Yes, the Ewoks. I like Vader's end The Ewoks were just a bit TOO annoying..ha. But I liked the way that part of the story played out. And I do like that Vader repented in the end. (I LOVE a good repentance) but he just was too "mushy" about it, ha. Hey, we agree on something. As shocking as this may sound, I believe Gary Cooper is the classic actor who could best play Indy. I'm talking the 30s Coop, where he is more talkative. You know, that is not as shocking sounding as you might think I would think it was...ha (does that even make sense?? ha) I can see how that could work. And one of the things I really LIKED about Raiders was the "action movie serial" feel. In a lot of ways it was like something you might have gotten to see way back in that late 30's early 40's time frame. I could see Gary as Indy... I didn't like the new one, either. The ending was rather weak, but it's the stuff before that I really didn't like, most especially, the monkey scene. And they wasted one of my favorite contemporary actresses, Cate Blanchett I just thought the whole story needed improvement. And you are right... Cate Blanchett (who I also like a lot) needed a MUCH better role. She had some good moments... but overall.. the character was just as lame as the story. (Even though it is an 80's) I would LOVE it if you and others watched it and we did a ramble. I have to say.. it is not your typical "WWII" story, and it just a very emotional and extremely thought provoking film. It has one of my favorite movie lines of ALL time... "People will do anything for a potato" (if you see it, that will make sense, ha) And it has your buddy.. Christian Bale as a little boy.. ha. (I only RECENTLY found out that he was the one who played the lead, thanks Jake Holman) And John Malkovich is OVER the top.. It is my all time favorite role for him. Even if we never ramlbe, I hope you will watch it sometime. I think you would like it. (Now watch.. ha.. knowing you, after I have said all that... you will watch it and just go... "meh" HA!) White Nights is popcorn? Have you ever seen it??? ha. I LIKE it.... but it is a bit too far fetched for me to take it TOO seriously... but MY OH ME.. the dancing is TERRIFIC. I just saw The Princess Bride for the first time this summer. And????? My brother likes Ladyhawke, but I've never seen it I am not sure if you would enjoy that one or not... but I have always liked this movie. VERY fun action. (a nice "darker" fairy tale) need to see Starman, because I like John Carpenter NOT your typical Carpenter movie... think more like... Hello Mr. Pop Secret (A little ?popcorn? humor for you, ha) She's young! She'll learn She?s only going to ?learn? how to get WORSE. But at least she did not really LIE to him. Still, I would have liked to see her feel at least a LITTLE more grateful (and less in your face about her feelings, even if she did not love him.) And Roy should know better. But that's what I really like about him. As tough as he was, he was extremely soft and vulnerable when it came to dames. Like Geoff Carter, he knew dames were trouble. He wanted Marie out of there. But he just couldn't do it I don?t see the comparison w/ Geoff like you do, but I do think you have him pretty well pegged. I saw him as a very sympathetic ?bad guy? His life was violent and filled with crime, and yet he also had a lot of regret and longing for things that were GOOD. (He just could not get away from who he?d allowed himself to become) You women live to kill us. Why is that? Because you usually deserve it. (HA!) But they are family! I'm really in trouble if they don't love me You are usually in trouble even if they DO love you, ha. (and it is USUALLY because of your smartmouth) I'm not eating your brownies! Blech! See what I mean??? I love the song! It actually makes me cry. I think it's the perfect song about longing. It's very similar to my favorite movie song, "The Rainbow Connection." And the ending to the film is one of the better ones I have seen. Ironically, I view it as the happy version of High Sierra Now that IS ironic. I would never have guessed it to have THAT sort of ending. (and PS, Moonriver is NOT that annoying, it just gets on my nerves when I think of it associated with this movie, ha) More boozin' and brawlin' from Ford. Sigh Woo hoo! Now I want to watch it even MORE. (April, even though I have never seen this one, I KNOW you are right when you say he deserves to be thrashed. HA. But then again, thrashing is likely too good for him. What he really deserves is to eat SPINACH and THEN you could thrash him, and THEN we will break out the frozen ropes. ha. As cold as it has been around here lately, they should have an extra nice bite to them, ha) Star Wars and Indy -- so you do have some taste. You've got some young boy in you, you know. I think someone is a daddy's girl. NO, I just like a good ?adventure? story. But I am not a total "action" junkie. I want there to be a story and characters too. Ha. I am not sure where it comes from. My dad HATES those sorts of movies. And my mom is not really a fan either, so I must be some sort of aberration. Ha. It was so bad, it was funny, ha) It seems like someone isn't a Chase fan. You're the first person I know who likes 80s films to say "yuck" to Christmas Vacation I can only take him in VERY small doses. I did like him more in his even EARLIER stuff (like some of his SNL routines and Foul Play) . 17. Return of the Jedi I definitely like it, but it's a little too cute to be better than the first two. The first one is THE standard, but there was a lot to like in all three of the earlier ones. As much as I like it, I think the ending of Jedi is a bit much w/ Darth Vader getting all warm and fuzzy after being SO heinous for so long. But by ?too cute?, ha, I imagine you are likely referring more to the Ewoks, ha. 19. The Goonies Love the fourth grade sex humor! Ha why am I not surprised? Do you wish it to be adult sex humor? Prude that I am,I more or less can live without that sort of ?humor? no matter HOW it is packaged, ha. The only scene that I wish was TOTALLY just not in the movie at all is the broken statue scene, ha. I can DEFINITELY live without them trying to put that back together, thanks. But I do confess, it is a fun ?adventure? movie, especially for kids. We actually watched it with my cousin's daughter this summer, outside on the big screen. She loved the fourth grade sex humor. Of course, she's in fourth grade. As am I! HA. I always THOUGHT that you might be. +22. Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom I like Willie and Short Round. Most do not. I like the darkness of the sacrifice. It's rather frightening+ I liked it ok. (but you are right it IS a darker and scarier Indie) I think what I like the most about all the Indy films is the ?adventure?. But I also like the humor and the ?larger than life? way he comes off, even though a lot of the time he is far less than the ?perfect? hero. (I was VERY disappointed in the new one that came out last year, by the way. Parts of it were entertaining enough, but the ending was LAME. They had TWENTY+ years and THAT was the best they could do?) 24. Time Bandits Wow! I would not have predicted that I really don?t know exactly WHY I like this movie, but I just do. It is rather bizarre, but I think it was just so different for the time that it came out. And it was just a fun story. And the characters are entertaining too. (I cracked up watching ?Evil? with the way he kept ?offing? his helpers everytime they asked as question. He?d zap them, and then answer them afterward. I guess it appealed to my warped sense of humor, ha) 38. Pee Wee's Big Adventure And I would not have predicted this one, either Well, it can not rate at the TOP of my most faves from that era, but (again) WAY back then it was good for a laugh or two. 48. Stripes You saw it with your parents? Oh, my. I like your backstory OH my gosh. Talk about ?sex humor?. UGH. TOTALLY raunchy. This movie came out right after I graduated from High School. And my parents took me and my three brothers to see it, NOT knowing and NEVER suspecting what all would be in it, mostly because as I mentioned, a lot of it was filmed when we lived at Ft Knox and our neighbor was in it. But I have to say,that even though parts of it were very funny, the raunchier it got, the lower I sunk down in my seat. Ha. I have NEVER been a fan of that sort of humor, but to see it with my parents put a whole new spin on EMBARASSING. Ha. My 80s viewing was done mostly through a boy's eyes, so Rain Man ain't gonna do much for me. You likely would not like this film, but there were some really good moments in it, and I did recall liking it somewhat when I saw it at the theater. I am not a Tom Cruise fan by any stretch of the imagination, but I thought he and Hoffman both did a good job. Or TOOTSIE? Are you kidding? No way, I LIKE Tootsie. I can?t say I LOVED it, but I do remember laughing all the way through it. No Silverado? I've never seen it. It really doesn't interest me I will have to get the Movieman to talk some sense into you. Now this one I really like. It just missed my list. In fact, I'll show you my next ten Ha I am glad you liked Mr. Mom. I think it is a FUNNY movie. Ha. And well, at least ET made your list SOMEWHERE. (but BELOW My Bloody Valentine???) And some how I KNEW Spaceballs would be on your list too, ha. It is one of the GOOFIER Mel Brooks I have seen, but I guess parts of it were a fun ?parody? of a lot of different sci fi?s that I DID like, so it wasn?t all bad. No Labyrinth or Hunt for Red October? I REALLY liked Labyrinth a lot. It is another one I am waiting for the kidling to get a bit older to watch with her. No Honey I Shrunk the Kids? No Karate Kid? Or HOOK?? No thanks. OH you are such a KILLJOY. Ha. You know despite all the ?popcorn? there were also several truly good films that came out in this decade too that I would have to list as being among my all time favorite films (such as Glory and Empire of the Sun) But sticking strictly with ?popcorn? I SHOULD have also mentioned THESE: Ladyhawk, The Princess Bride, Romancing the Stone, Starman, The Last Starfighter, White Nights, Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Three Men and a Baby, and Parenthood. (All more or less ?butter flavored? ha, but still films that I enjoyed) GOOD gravy, I am suddenly ?nostalgic? for big hair and shoulderpads again. (ha)

HELLO 80's dude, That poor, poor man Mister, you don't know the half of it. How he has put up w/ me for lo these past 16 1/2 years is beyond me. But I am ETERNALLY grateful that he does. :-) Yes! She did him a serious favor. And Velma was honest with Roy about her boyfriend You know, you DO sort of have at least SOMETHING of a point. I mean, even "Pa" tried to warn Roy that Velma might not be what she seemed. But still she deserved to be TOTALLY smacked, ha. Just because a guy is nice to a girl doesn't mean she loves him. If that were the case, I'd actually be nice to some girls, ummm, I mean, I'd actually have lots of girls who loved me Ha... Well, I feel certain you DO have some girsl who love you. What about the city Grandma and the country Grandma?? I bet they love, love LOVE you. (But they likely just dont' know how ROTTEN you are sometimes. Ha) Hey! I took the time to watch Poopy Coopy for YOU! The very fact that you called him that erases ANY potential "brownie" points you MIGHT have earned from your efforts. ha. (OH for pity?s sake, you and your ?Top Secret? ha. You know, I have been thinking about this film, and I THINK I have seen it, when it FIRST came out in the theaters a LONG time ago. But I was in my 20?s by then, and I bet YOU were a LOT younger, which is likely why you liked it so much more, ha.) 2. Better Off Dead (I have not seen this, but I do recall when it came out) 3. The Naked Gun (Not a fave, but good for some laughs) 4. The Empire Strikes Back (I am a ?traditional? Star Wars Junkie. I saw them all when they FIRST came out and then I took my youngest stepson to see them at the theater when they re-released them back in the 90?s before they came out with the prequels. I LOVE the original three, but do not like the newer ones much. And I have NO doubt that this one is your favorite. It is dark and depressing, and it ends BADLY. (HA) 5. The Thing (never saw it, or the original either) 6. Raiders of the Lost Ark (Next to The Quiet Man, and maybe The Wizard of Oz, I don?t think there is any film I have ever seen more times than this one. OH ME, in the early 1980?s, I had SUCH a crush on Harrison Ford. I eventually got over it, ha) 7. The Shining (I HATE this movie. I can?t even get past the first moments with the creepy music without just wanting to turn it off) 8. Strange Brew (HA! Believe it or not, I paid to see this movie, ha. Summer Rental (NEVER saw it but I actually know someone who was in this film) 45. Hysterical (not familiar with it) 46. The Man with One Red Shoe (never saw it) 47. Poltergeist (TOO scary) 48. Stripes (I am embarrassed to admit I saw this when it came out. And with my PARENTS even. A lot of the scenes were filmed at Fort Knox my Senior year of High School. Bill Murray is actually in my Senior year book and believe it or not, my next door neighbor (who graduated a year before me) is in several scenes in this film as an extra) 49. Beverly Hills Cop ( ok, I confess, I saw it. LIKED the song) 50. Body Heat (NEVER wanted to see it) WOW, what a list. I don?t think I could make a list of all my favorite films from any decade even if I tried, ha.(but wow, you totally made me relive my very late teens and twenties, ha) WAY back then when I was younger and single, I worked retail in several malls around the city and they all had theaters in them, so I used to go out after work with friends to see a movie at least once a week, it seems. So I did see a LOT more ?new films? back then than I have seen lately. In fact, I think during this same time I likely saw more new films THEN than I ever have in my life. (And gee, I even saw a lot of the same ones YOU did, ha) You had some really good (and some really ???) choices on there, kid, but since we ARE talking popcorn, here, what, No Back to the Future?? Howdy there Miss G... I need to consult my Western Wanna See List for sure... but off of the top of my head... I know that some of the ones you have mentioned are on it (my list..ha. not my head..ha) I have NEVER gotten to see Shepherd of the Hills all the way through... but the little I did see of it MANY MANY years ago has made me hope I could catch it someday... that would be number one on my list for sure. I think you were the one who told me about The Proud Rebel and also The Vanishing American... I'd like to see both of those as well. I will check my list.. and also some of the titles some of the other folks here have mentioned.... but the three that I have mentioned here are definitely wanna sees for me. (and PS: would't it be cool if TCM WOULD show The Hanging Tree?? That film deserves to be seen WAY more than it is... just because it is an EXCELLENT film and a great role for Cooper.. plus it is good to watch if only to see that ROTTEN Frenchie get his come uppance... ha) :-)

(and PS... out of the ones I have seen on that list.. Jane Eyre would be MY favorite.. but you likely already KNEW that didn't you?? ha) think it's the two styles of director. This was my first DeMille film, and it felt like he was just throwing historic figures at us just to do it. "Here's Lincoln! Here's Custer!" It seems like DeMille is more of a showman and Ford is a storyteller. I think you have them pegged.. still I like DeMille more than some. I think he is one of those guys you either REALLY like.. or you don't. It's a horrible day when I choose Ford. It's a red letter day... somebody open up a bottle of soda pop. (ha.. I am a teetotaler after all) ha. You're such a pushover! It's definitely a "popcorn" movie. Ha... I am. And maybe it is... but you know what.. "popcorn movies" are fun every so often. I like to just kick back and be entertained by a movie every once in a while w/out having to delve the deeper recesses of the human heart just to understand the characters. Howdy, Burnt Toastmaker Well LOOK what the cat dragged in!!! I turn my back for ONE little second and the SHIFTLESS one shows up... I have not had anyone to stick my tongue out at in EVER so long...where have you been KEEPING yourself, OH great grey dude??? After seeing you had watched and written about The Plainsman and then figuring out I actually had the DVD, I decided to torture myself and watch Coop Ha.. well.. it's about TIME you started going through your giant stack o' unwatched movies. I am glad my lucky Walmart find was good for SOMETHING besides my own movie watching. ha. My favorite parts of the film are the end OH YOU... I will get to that in a moment... and Jean Arthur. Wasn't she something??? I really liked her in this film a LOT. (and I agree w/ the comparisons about Bonnie... but there was just a little something extra for me in the dramatic moments in this film that pushed this performance for her over the top for me. I like Bonnie a LOT.. but I think she did just a bit MORE (between the comedy AND the drama) in this film... so I have to put Calamity out in my number one slot.... (but Bonnie would be a close second) I thought Coop was pretty good. I like him best when he's smart-alecky. He was that. So far, I tend to like Gary's 30s characters the best. I can't say this is my fave Coop film by a long shot... but I thought he was very entertaining and you are right.. he does do a good "smart-alecky" ha. As for the film... meh. It seemed like everything was rather convenient. I didn't get a sense of any real tension and I felt the film lacked good drama. Ford is looking better. HA!! Well Ford is FORD... so he will almost always look better... but I don't think it is a fair comparison... he just more or less cornered a market on films like this. But I liked this one a bit more than you, obviously. I think it was a good story and had plenty of "suspenseful" moments... but I do admit it was also "contrived" perhaps in places... I think I mentioned in my ramblings that at the beginning... I just did not take it seriously enough. I thought it was going to be all "characters playing characterizations" with Coop and Jean acting WAY too much like "stereotypes" of the people they were supposed to be playing. And I also thought the Indians were "stereotypical"... but then as I started to really watch it... and the scene w/ Calamity watching poor Bill in those flames is where I started to really sit up)... I just started realizing that there was more to it... at least for me, anyway. At any rate... I think it is a good movie.. I won't put it on my TOP list for favorite westerns, but I did enjoy it very much. There were a handful of moments where I felt it was rather silly, most especially, when Coop goes back to get the watch while a slew of indians are attacking. Oh, my I am going to make you eat those words in a minute... but FIRST.... an apology... To APRIL.. I am SO sorry you were left here last night to deal with the SHADOW man all by yourself... ha.. I had NO idea... Miss G says: Yes, they're having fun it's plain to see. He's definitely giving her a run for her money if she wants to hook him. I think he just did not want HER to know because she had hurt him the past. Somewhere at the beginning she tells him something like ?those other guys didn?t mean anything?. I think she must have not appreciated what she had until it was gone. But by then, HE was not so willing to let her use him and get hurt. But he DID love her (so she had him hooked whether he wanted to admit it or not) RE: Gary's oneliners... Miss G, you are right.. he got the BEST comebacks.... It wouldn't play for me! I'll try it on my new roommate when I get home, maybe HE will play it. OH sweet little Mackie.... give him a hug and maybe he will be good and play that link for you... ha. It is one of my fave parts from Night at the Museum...ha. And thanks to the kidling, I have seen that movie so many times, I can't think of the line "unleash Hell" without thinking of THAT movie first... Jed and Octavius rock.. That would be a nice change of pace. HA! We would not know how to act, would we??? (Picture me... rolling my eyes.. ha.)

Sometimes, if i am just sitting quietly watching, and I don't say anything about how much she will like it... she will really get into one of my shows or movies That is a good strategy.. ha. It is hit and miss for me and the kidling. She is not so "wilfull" yet that she refuses to accept that ANYTHING mom likes must be "lame" ha.. but sometimes she is easier to convince than others. This particular time was more "happenstance" than anything else. I had the program on while she was in the room busy with her paints and drawing... and she was barely noticing it much, but just REALLY started watching when it got "hysterical". What I liked especially was the sweet and sour of Judi Densch and Eileen Atkins. Judi Densch was so different from anything else I have ever seen her in.... it was a great warm feminine performance. I am not as familiar with either woman's work as you are, but you have described them both in these roles PERFECTLY. They just complimented one another so well. And though Deborah was a much stronger personality between the two, they BOTH had such inner strength and determination.... And I really liked how although there was a level of SWEET very CAREFULLY hidden in Atkins' character. MY GOLLY when she made up her mind, she was almost unmoveable... and yet... there she was walking behind that casket with the neighbor lady when there was NO one else to go with her... I LOVED that part... I also liked how each woman fulfilled a different part of the community - a duty as it were. And how the gossip actually served a purpose.... You know, I liked how they did not cut and rip each other apart (and the only REAL gossip that hurt anyone at all was the misunderstanding over the doctor.... and that was more or less as much their OWN faults as anything.) Mini SPOILER Wasn't that just SOMETHING how all those ladies got behind Miss Mattie.... secretly.. and formed a little alliance to come to her aide... paying off the butcher and saying there were little errors in accounting to help her out financially... What a great example of "what goes around comes around" for once in a GOOD way. OH... and the bit where the one lady did not want to go into her shop because entereing that room she would stop being a friend and become her customer... so she stood outside the doorway and ordered her tea... via Mrs. Poole... ha. I loved that part. :-)

Even Miss Pole, for crying out loud, who expected that! NOT me.. ha. WHAT a shocker THAT was.. ha. I LOVE this series. I watched it when it aired last year and was SO happy to get the chance to see it all again. (and I don't even mind the happy endings all tied up in the pretty bow for us.. though I DID get overwhelmed a bit w/ all the tragedy too... so much sorrow in the midst of the humor and happiness) But the humor.. OH MY GOLLY... the bit with the COW... and the CAT and the lace... ha. (my daughter was watching with me this time.... and I turned to her and said... now THAT puts a whole new spin on Puss in Boots, doesn't it??? HA... I know.. it was a lame joke.. ha... but it cracked us BOTH up to the point we had to turn off the tv and just laugh for a while.. but she is SIX so I guess she is still young enough to laugh at almost anything mom says... ha. Anyway... I am really happy to have gotten to watch this series all over again. And I am EAGERLY awaiting the new episodes coming up this weekend. THAT is a terrific line... and you are right, although I have little criticism for the program as a whole, losing Deborah was SUCH a loss, especially so early on the story... I just could not believe she went out so early.... (sob)

Hi Little T.... As for the Rohanaka house... we stayed home... watched UP, (for about the gazillionth time since Christmas...ha) and The Wizard of Oz... and an episode or two of the Twilight Zone, read some books, drew some pictures (anything to keep the kidling occupied until midnight...ha) We ate a TON of Junk food.. ha... and then we rang in the new year in the family tradition.... banging a few pots and pans together... ha... LOUD but fun. By then, we were ALL ready to hit the hay. ha (what can I say.. ha, we live on the edge... ) :-) I hope YOU and ALL my ramblin' friends had a MOST WONDERFUL New Year's Eve... and God's blessings to you one and all this New Year.
