[Trying to find an OLD movie about Key West]

Please someone help. I remember seeing a movie about the wrecking industry in Key West. There was a love story between a Key West "daughter" and a Yankee Lawyer. I remember a part about the main characters sister being given a shaw by a ship worker. Later in the movie she

died trying to hide on board a ship that ran into the

reef. They figured out it was her because of the shaw. I saw the movie from the point where the main character was in Georgia or South Carolina. I didn't get a name of the movie or even the actors names. Can anyone help!
