  1. oh I love Robert Mitchum too, but I think my fav is between Dean Martin, Paul Newman, and Gene Kelly. Its IMPOSSIBLE for me to choose between them. I was going to tape it about a year ago but of course I forgot and it hasn't come on since, but I have a blank tape waiting for it.
  2. Hey thats great, you need to request it so they will play it again. They havent played it in forever, it seems like so long ago that i saw it. I love Shirley McLaine in it she is great.
  3. Being only 18 people are often VERY surprised that I know so much about movies, especially older ones, them being my favorite. My friends don't understand why I like to watch black and white movies, and they refuse to even give them a chance. i do know quite a bit more then most adults that i know(not including my mom, who knows a little bit more then me). I already have a big collection but a goal i have is to own all of the movies i think are the classics that includes old ones and the new ones. For example I own "Some like it Hot" and "It Happened One Night" and right next to it is "The
  4. Definitely Liz Taylor, Rita Hayworth, and Grace Kelly. Its hard to beat them. And for the men i think hands down Paul Newman and Robert Redford tie for first and then Cary Grant.
  5. Ok I've looked through quite a few of these topics and all of the different opinions about what the greatest movies are and while I agree about most of them like "Gone with the the Wind," and "Casablanca," people are forgetting some of the best movies that TCM does play even though they weren't made in the 40s or 50s. For example my all time favorite movie, "The Godfather"(I&II), and "The Graduate," and "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid." Those are also great films and I think they get forgotten in the talk about Cary Grant, Jimmy Stewart, and both Hepburns.
  6. Hey thanks alot. I have requested it but i guess I'll just keep on trying. Yeah its a fabulous movie!!
  7. I bet most people haven't even seen this movie, b/c TCM only plays like maybe once a year. Its called "What a way to go!" and its awesome. It has Shirley McLaine in it and then some of the best leading men of all time, Paul Newman(my favorite), Gene Kelly, Robert Mitchum, Dick Van Dyke, Dean Martin, and Robert Cummings. Its plot is kind of like a Canterbury Tales story about the women whose husbands mysteriously die. Any way its one of my all time favorite movies and its not on video, so i'm pretty sure that its not in print. So i guess if anyone has any info on it that wouldld be great,
  8. The best line has got to be from Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. Its "Think you used enough dynamite there Butch?" said by Robert Redford But then the whole movie is AWESOME and full of great witty dialogue between Newman and Redford.
