  1. I wake up every day, from monday to friday, at 6:30 am...but on weekends, I usually wake up late... so there I'm at loss with Mongo's weekend trivia marathons

By the way, for your info, I used to be just the opposite of the cheerful riser, for many, many years... until I changed dramatically!!

I also wanted to say that I like very much Coffedan's questions for the weekly trivia threads...He's very, very good at it, smart guy...Three cheers for Coffeedan!!

  2.

Opening Credits...mmm...the snake from "The Lady Eve" comes to my mind...., also "Funny Face", classy, classy, as everything from Audrey Hepburn.... I recall many more, but I don't remember exactly the films to which they belong.... Nice topic

  3. Don't think I don't like the saucy & spicy stuff....I do!... But what I mean, is that, not because some actresses' or actors' lives, seem to be no "material" for a biography, book, etc... there shouldn't be a study of their careers, films, screen personas, etc... I think there should be a perfect combinations between both aspects of actors' lives, being their professional ones their mos important. I also like sociological studies of films & screen images, etc.

  4. I know about that Maggie Schultz book, its pretty EXPENSIVE, but it seem to be excellent and exhaustive, about her career & films....Dunne's always been a favorite of mine.....as well as Colbert and Arthur...I agree with you Catcarson... Maybe their lives were so quiet & normal, that maybe some producers think there's no material for a biography.....I'd like to see more Biographies focusing on people's work and professional achievements...rather than stuff about their personal lives

  5. I agree with bgrable...TCM shouldn't show films from after the 1960's....and if so they only should be milestones like The Godfather or Raging Bull, which, anyway, should add up to the minimum percentage of the whole schedule...the 90-95% of the schedule should include only films from 1920-1965.... that's the reason why TCM has made for itself such a name and prestige among tv-viewers.... as well as for the knowledge, charisma and comments by people like Robert Osborne....TCM don't change your path!!.... Spaceballs, please NO!!
