  4. Please watch this at 8'o'clock if only for Laird Cregar's final performance. He never got to see this film because he died right after at the young age of 28. This is the story of a composer who has a trauma brought on by sharp noise. With Cregar is Linda Darnell in all her 21 year old lovliness as Netta who becomes the object of Cregars affection. Matching them every step of the way is George Sanders and the brilliant Bernard Herrmann score...make some popcorn and ENJOY! P.S. the films opening shot is a doozy thanks to cinematographer Joseph LeShalle . .

IDA LUPINO in "Road House" as the singer who is the object of Richard Widmark's obsession. JEAN SIMMONS in "Home Before Dark" as a woman released from a mental institution who battles her way back to sanity, is like nothing ever seen before - she is superb!

Centennial Summer - Linda Darnell, Jeanne Crain and Cornell Wilde in a lovely musical saluting our country's centennial year 1876 songs are "All through the day" and "Cinderella Sue" 2.) Alias Nick Beal - with the best perfomance of his career ~ Ray Milland~who plays Satan Prince of Darkness - and does so with intellegence and shows the true nature of evil Thomas Mitchell and Audrey Totter give excellent performances 3.) A Stolen Face - with Lizabeth Scott giving a superb dual performance as the American pianist and the cocney prostitute. 4.) Angel On The Amazon - where the heroine played by Vera Ralston has a great traumatic experience in the jungle which causes her aging process to stop, making her her daughters twin also starring George Brent and Constance Bennett. 5.) Sally and St. Anne - lovely whimsy whereas a teen-age girl talks to a statue of St. Anne (and St. Anne answers her)
