  1. Please watch this at 8'o'clock if only for Laird Cregar's final performance. He never got

to see this film because he died right after at the young age of 28. This is the story of a

composer who has a trauma brought on by sharp noise. With Cregar is Linda Darnell

in all her 21 year old lovliness as Netta who becomes the object of Cregars affection.

Matching them every step of the way is George Sanders and the brilliant Bernard Herrmann

    score...make some popcorn and ENJOY!

P.S. the films opening shot is a doozy thanks to cinematographer Joseph LeShalle

  2. CM I can think of three forgotten female performances

EVELYN KEYES in "The Prowler" her performance as the unfaithful wife is right on and

her scene in the courtroom is unforgetable.

IDA LUPINO in "Road House" as the singer who is the object of Richard Widmark's obsession.

JEAN SIMMONS in "Home Before Dark" as a woman released from a mental institution who

battles her way back to sanity, is like nothing ever seen before - she is superb!

  3. Whitney Blake - hah- do you remember the black velvet cloak Kim wore in BBAC

well I have the exact copy, and I wear it for cold evenings..I love the Doris Day clothes too,

you can have any outfit copied if you get a good photograph, a good dressmaker and

    the material...

  4. When Ida Lupino made the film "Roadhouse" they used her real singing voice

for the film and I recorded all the tunes on an audio cassette which I play in my

car late at night, these include "Again" and "One For My Baby" I love the way

she sang, sort of like a husky voiced Ella Fitzgerald...
