What song did Burt Bachrach say was his favorite song that he and Hal David wrote?
-
On the tv show he starred in, golden age movie stars would have guest roles . It was an hour long tv show
-
On the tv show he had the starring role in, there were usually 3 stories going on, a comedy, a romantic story and one that had drama

This actor was in a successful tv comedy in the 1960's, another successful comedy series in the 1970's and another in the late 1970's into the late 1980's. In the first 2 tv shows he was not billed as the lead but was part of the cast. In the last tv show, he was billed as the lead. What were his 3 hit tv shows and who was he ???? Extra credit for the names of the Oscar winner in one show and the Oscar nominee in another show ????

Andre De Toth is not on my radar, but he should be because of how much I've enjoyed his work in the past.
He was Hungarian, born in the Austro-Hungarian Empire. He directed Randolph Scott westerns, noirs like "Pitfall", which he also wrote, and one of my favorite Richard Widmark movies, "Slattery's Hurricane".
His most famous film was the 3D "House of Wax" starring Vincent Price. And he ended his career directing some of Warner Brothers' most popular TV series like "77 Sunset Strip" and "Maverick".
He was married to 40s bombshell Veronica Lake, whose movies I really liked as a kid--especially, "This Gun for Hire", "So Proudly We Hail" and "Sullivan's Travels".
Lav, thanks for featuring this couple-- because I didn't realize how much of their work I've enjoyed all my life.
Princess, Glad you enjoyed the question about Andre de Toth and Veronica Lake They both hold an important role in classic films. You did a good, detailed job answering. The thread goes back to you.

Miles, Don't you think you should pass and let some of these new people get into these questions?
Maybe they have subjects that are more current that they would like to post.
We old boomers maybe should just give them a break, what do you think?
(BTW--I tried to PM you, but your account must be full up.)😁
However, Shutoo. Peebs and occassionally Fauserlitz and Star are our age and yet they are not playing these threads even though they use to. I find that puzzling, well, maybe not so puzzling .

I'll start it but I'll only answer a few so more can participate
1. My Favorite Martian
2. Superman
4. The Six Million Dollar Man
8. The Invaders

2) Movie Producer - Silk Stockings
3) Fighter Pilot - The Sky's The Limit
4) Songwriter - Three Little Words
6) College Trumpet Player - Second Chorus
For Fred Astaire fans, it's an easy question.
That's also why I only answered 2
Too bad, the posters who say they love Fred and musicals didn't play

Sorry, meant to answer Dave's post about the music. Re-learning the ropes around here, not that I ever learned them originally! But it's always good to see you, Dargo.
So great to see you back on the bds. We've missed you.

Barbara Stanwyck and Henry Fonda were in three films together, "The Mad Miss Manton", "The Lady Eve", and "You Belong To Me". In 1962 Barbara was in "Walk On The Wild Side' with Henry's daughter, Jane Fonda.
