You're very welcome. TCM does show How Proudly We Hail every so often. Hope you get to see the film soon.

Thanks Princess. Yes Evelyn Keyes and Charles Vidor. Evelyn's most famous role of course was as Sue Ellen in Gone With the Wind. I also love The Jolson Story and thought she was excellent in 99 River Street and The Prowler. Chatles Vidor's list of films he directed is very impressive. Love Me or Leave Me, Gilda, The Loves of Carmen. Good work Princess, your turn.

That would be Harry Morgan. The 2 films are Orchestra Wives and The Glenn Miller Story. I try to watch both when they're shown on TCM. I enjoy both very much.

Ray Liotta has passed away in his sleep
lavenderblue19 replied to LornaHansonForbes's topic in General Discussions
Many years ago, I use to watch Another World, the daytime soap, Ray Liotta was on the show for a few years early in his career and Christopher Rich was on Another World also. I think they may have been on at the same time, at least for a little while. -
This actress was married 4 times. In her autobiography, she writes about her many affairs She did star in some films her most famous role was not a starring role but it was in one of the most famous films of all time. 3 of her 4 husbands were all very famous and in show business. This husband was a director He was not born in the USA. He worked at all the major studios at one time or another. Some of the players he directed were Rita Hayworth, Danny Kaye, Rock Hudson. This actor had a special relationship with his horse. He has told the story many times on tv shows, in a film he was starring in. the assistant director asked him if his horse would be able to do a difficult scene, he said " I'll talk to him " . After the actor spoke to the horse for a few minutes, the horse did the scene in 1 take Who was the actor, the horses name ( extra for the film ) ????

Irene was nominated for 2 Oscars. One for BF's Daughter, starring Barbara Stanwyck and for Midnight Lace starring Doris. Good work Princess. Your thread.

Thanks, Princess Next Another broken hearted woman who worked in Hollywood ( not an actress but important in how the cast dressed) according to her good friend was so desolute over a legendary actors death she became an alcoholic and committed suicide a year after the actor's death. They had had an affair , she told her friend he was the only man she ever loved She was nominated for 2 Oscar's for her work Who was she, who was the actor she was desperately in love with and extra credit for her legendary actress friend she had confided in and extra credit for the 2 films she was nominated for. ????????

Good guess, but not Archie. The audience that probably loved this character were mostly kids, teens. Lots of memorabilia like lunch boxes. Posters of this guy .
