Exactly. Elvis turned down the role of the Teen Angel in Grease. Originally they wanted Elvis . I think Frankie Avalon did a great job as the Teen Angel . Sadly Elvis passed while the film was in production Good work Princess, your thread.

Yes, Rowen and Martin's Laugh In was the show. Producer George Schlatter credited his wife Jolene Brand for thinking of Aretha Franklin's Version of Respect's line Sock It To Me as a catchphrase for Laugh In. Can't count how many times and all the celebrity guests said that line on the show Excellent Princess. Your thread .

Thanks Princess, I liked both so much. Next This 60's - 70s comedy tv show used a line from a song that was a huge hit song thats still known today. The line from the song became a well known catchphrase in most episodes of this TV Show. What was the TV Show, what was the song and who sang the song ?????

You got it, Miles. Joan Blondell and Mike Todd Yes we've done Joan married to Dick Powell and Mike married to Elizabeth Taylor, but never have we done Joan Blondell and Mike Todd as a married couple. When I was a kid, I use to get Joan Blondell and Ann Sothern mixed up. Both blonde, blue eyed, wisecracking and little in height and both excellent actresses and always a pleasure to watch. I think A Tree Gtows In Brooklyn and Nightmare Alley are my favorite of Joan's performances. Sadly, Mike Todd was only 48 when he died in a plane crash. Good work Miles. Your thread.

Thanks Princess. Next This actor's portrayal of this 1970's tv character is legendary. When asked. he said he based some of the movements, gestures, speech on another actor he had worked with in a film. Who was the actor in the legendary tv role, what was the role and who was the actor he based the character on and what was the film they worked together on ??????? Edited by me

Troy Donohue and Tab Hunter ?? They both made films for Warner Bros . Tab had the better singing career with his hit Young Love , Troy, not so much. My favorite of Tab's films was Damn Yankees. For Troy, Parrish, Summer Place , Susan Slade. His role in Imitation of Life was small, but brutal . Troy's TV show was Surfside 6, Tab had a short lived TV series, The Tab Hunter Show ????????? I always felt bad for how Troy's life turned out although glad that Tab seems to have had a happy life.

Some of the actors she worked with were Tyrone Power, James Cagney, Katharine Hepburn, Clark Gable , Dorothy McGuire

Ken Osmond and of course you have to recognize a young Richard Beymer as Rolph as a boy. Next What role in a 1970's musical film did Elvis turn down. Instead a 1950s- early 1960s pop singer got the role. Film, Role, and who did the role in the film ???
-
Yes. Tommy Rettig and Jon Provost both in the tv show Lassie, both played Jane's son in So Big The 3rd kid was Ken Osmond, he played Elisabeth Fraser's son in So Big. He was also a little boy in So Big he then went on to play Eddie Haskell in Leave It To Beaver. Princess, the thread is all yours and I thought your first answer for 3 kids in the same movie .was excellent

Thanks Swithin, the car clue made me think of Mrs.Miniver and Greer Garson and that made me think of lovely Teresa Wright. I can't imagine a sweeter actress than Ms. Wright Next She had 50+ career on the stage, films and TV. In films she played mostly 2n d leads and supporting roles.. She was nominated for a Beat Supporting Actress Oscar. She co-starred in a tv series in the late '60s-70's. He was a theater and film producer. A film he produced won the Beat Picture Oscar in the 1950's. Couple and films for both ?????

Teresa Wright won her Oscar for Mrs. Miniver. Her 1st husband was Niven Busch He wrote the screenplay for The Postman Always brings Twice and Duel In the Sun Her 2nd husband was Robert Anderson, The Nun's Story and I Never Sang For My Father
