  23. Thank You Miles ! The World of Henry Orient is a 1964 film Starring Peter Sellers, Angrla Lansbury and Tom Bosley played Angela's husband Exactly 20 years later in 1984 Angela Landsbury and Tom Bosley would be in the hit series Murder She Wrote together. Exactly 50 years after The World of Henry Orient, in 2014, Angela was given the title Dame by Queen Elizabeth. Nora Johnson had a teenage crush on Oscar Levant, he was the inspiration for the Henry Orient character in her novel. Her dad, Nunnally Johnson was a famous screenwriter, director and producer. He wrote the screenplays for The Grapes of Wrath. How To Marry A Millionaire, The Dirty Dozen, The Man in the Gray Flannel Suit, the great noir, The Woman In The Window , Mr. Hobbs Takes A Vacation and The Three Faces of Eve, just to name some of the films he wrote the screenplays for. A very prolific writer and was able to write for so many different genres. Nora and her dad Nunnally co-wrote the script for The World Of Henry Orient based on Nora's novel. The World Of Henry Orient has always been a favorite of mine. I saw the film for the 1st time when it was first released when I was a teen. All the locations shots of NYC were filmed so beautifully, Val's character walking alone in the snow in Central Park always gets to me. The World Of Henry Orient is a great film and one I cherish . So happy TCM shows the film. Credit for wonderful Performances by Tippi Walker as Val and Merrie Spaeth as Marion. Merrie Spaeth was a guest speaker at the TCM Film Festival a few years back to talk about the film when TCM showed The World Of Henry Orient at the Film Festival. Highly recommend watching the film next time TCM shows it for those who haven't seen it. Mr. Magoo you tried so thanks for that. Miles, So glad you knew the film, read the clues carefully lol, there were enough of them, great job and it's your thread.
