  13. I knew that last clue would get the answer. Yes, The Jerry Lewis MDA Labor Day Weekend Telethon. Every baby boomer remembers the telethon . We watched all or at least some of it every year. Yes, Smile was the opening theme song, and the closing song was You'll Never Walk Alone. When Jerry went to the tally board showing the amounts raised the song they played was an instrumental version of What the World Needs Now Is Love. During all those hours, at least a tear or two was probably shed in every household, it was an emotional tear jerker, especially when kids and adults stricken with muscular diseases came on the show. They say at least 2.5 BILLION Dollars was raised because of the telethon. We've gotta give credit where it's s due, Jerry Lewis worked his heart out for MDA . Did your family tune in for all or some of the telethon Miles ? Good job, your thread.

  22. I researched and came up with the same info you did Miles. I checked quite a few sites but no luck, that's the main reason I didn't answer the obvious Lennon Sisters.
  23. LOL, I detect a slight crack. I already have a prepared one Next Once a year a tv show during the classic time period would be watched by millions. It was on during a holiday. It had a famous theme song and a famous closing song that was sung by the host. What was the TV show, who was the host and what was the opening song the host sang and the closing song the host song ????
  24. I couldn't find that out that's one reason I didn't mention the Lennon Sisters in the first place also I read the question incorrectly for some reason I thought the question was 2 sisters singing act. I don't know who the husband was
