  1. My dream sounds much, much better than yours LOL a lot more fun and gratifying
  2. No, in my dream his was 37 just like Magnum, not and old codger! LOL. Oh and btw, I was much younger too.
  3. According to Patricia Hitchcock, this was Hitch's guilty pleasure favorite film ( he didn't direct this one)
  4. This was the husband's 2nd marriage ( there was another after this one). His 1st marriage was to another lovely actress.
  5. I've been binge watching the original Magnum PI and a few months back I had the best dream about my hearthrob Tom Selleck ( he's 37 years old and gorgeous in the show and in my dream). In my dream, we're sharing a very intimate encounter, don't need to elaborate, use your imagination. LOL
  6. This may not be a quote from a 21st century film and I agree those quotes on that list will not stand the test of time. Here is one not from the 21st century that will, for me, always stand the test of time. The most memborable quote for me was the exchange between Miriam Hopkins as Aunt Penniman and Oliva deHavilland as Catherine in The Heiress. I've always thought that those lines were so fitting and meaningful in that brilliantly written story. Aunt Penniman - Can you be so cruel? Catherine - Yes I can be very cruel, I have been taught by masters.
  7. Miles, thank you for such an extensive list. I did ask for 3 tv shows for each actor or actress. Your first 3, answers the question. Lucy, Robert Young and Ann Sothern each had 3 shows. Many movie actors and actress had 2 shows but 3 successful shows was special. To add to your 3, I would add 1) David Janseen for Harry O, The Fugitive and Richard Diamond. 2) Bill Bixby for The Incredible Hulk, The Courtship of Eddie's Father and My Favorite Martian and 3) Robert Wagner for It Takes A Thief, Switch and Hart To Hart Thank You for answering the question and your list. Good work and it's your thread,
  8. Her father was an actor/director, her mother was an actress
  9. Repeating the question since it's on the previous page and to make it easier so no one has to go back and forth. 2nd clue- It was a 1970's action comedy. edited by me
  10. Sad. Loved Poco, one of my favorite bands during the 60's and 70's Saw them at the Filmore East. RIP Rusty Young and thanks for all the great music
  11. Read your comment too quickly, since it wasn't your opinion does that mean you thought Dolores played that character the way it was meant to be played, hammy and OTT. Hope so.
  12. Sad about Lee Aaker. Paul Petersen wrote that Lee Acker died alone, unclaimed and indigent. Petersen is working on getting him a decent burial since Lee Aaker served in the Air Force. Lee Aaker was in some films, The Greatest Show On Earth, Jeopardy, High Noon besides appearing in many 1960's tv shows besides Rin Tin Tin Hope that Petersen is successful in seeing that Lee Aaker gets his respectful, proper burial. RIP Lee Aaker
  13. I disagree. Love Dolores Gray, she was suppose to be over the top hammy in that role. She had a fabulous singing voice. I've seen the film many times over the years, maybe if you watch the film a few more times you might change your mind. Next time Designing Woman is shown and The Opposite Sex ( a musical version of the Women) try to watch it. she's great in those. Dolores was a Broadway star and flamboyant but her singing voice was so great and had a great flair for comedy. She's a favorite of mine, so don't diss her ( i'm teasing) but give her another chance,
  14. In a film she appeared in with an iconic actor/singer, she was the first actress that got to kiss him in a film. edited by me
  15. Some film actors and actresses also had succesful tv shows they starred in the classic time period. Name at least 3 actors or actresses ( listing both actors and actresses to make a total of 3 is ok) and their 3 tv shows (or more but not less than 3 tv shows) from 1950's thru 1970's they starred or co-starred in. Partial answers are acceptable for this question, the one who correctly names the most, wins the thread ???????
  16. Thanks Miles. As soon as I read that the actor asked Ginger to dance, I knew it was Frank Albertson in Bachelor Mother so the rest fell into place. next Patricia Hitchcock revealed in an interview that a certain film ( not one he directed) was the last film Hitch screened before he died. Film and the 2 stars of the film ???
  17. Yes, just numbered incorrectly. Wrote 3 instead of 5 obviously, since 3 was about an actor not an actrees, that's what you get at 7am LOL 5. Noreen Cororan - Bachelor Father
  18. Her career lasted over 60 years beginning as a child actress. She was an actress and singer, usually playing the second lead to the lead actress. She had a tv career appearing as a guest on many tv shows and she was a regular in daytime and nightime soap operas. Pretty and petite, she was a solo singer for some famous bands and also appeared in nightclubs. He was an actor and singer. He appeared on Broadway, in films and tv. He had roles in many different film genres. Westerns, comedies, musicals, dramas, crime films. One of the films he co-starred in, is an iconic, much loved film., He was the star of a tv series in the classic time period. This couple had 2 children together but were divorced. Couple and name a couple of films for each and extra for naming some of the daytime and the nightime soap the actress had roles in and the tv series he starred in ???????
  19. 1. Stanley Livingston - My Three Sons. 3. Noreen Corcoran - Bachelor Father 6. Tommy Rettig - Lassie 7. Billy Mumy - Lost In Space 8. Jerry Mathers - Leave It To Beaver 9. Ron Howard - The Andy Griffith Shpw 10. Patty McCormick - Peck's Bad Girl
  20. Frank Albertson. He played Hepburn's brother in Alice Adams, Bachelor Mother with Ginger, Room Service with Lucy and the Marx Brothers and he was the wealthy rancher Janet Leigh steals the money from in Hitchcock's Psycho. btw, he also played wealthy Sam Wainwright in it's A Wonderful Life ????
  21. Don't know if this is the couple but they satisfy everything you asked for. Joan Fontaine and Brian Aherne ?? Joan Fontaine appeared in films directed by Hitch, Cukor and Stevens. For Hitchcock, Suspicion and Rebecca, for Cukor The Women and for Stevens Something To Live For. She won the Oscar for Suspicion. Joan Fontaine was born in Tokoyo. Brian Aherne appeared in films with Loretta Young, Katharine Hepburn and Bette Davis. With Loretta, he appeared in A Night To Remember with Hepburn, Sylvia Scarlett and with Bette Davis it was Juarez. Aherne was nominated for Best Supporting Actor for Juarez.. He was born in England and for many years he appeared in stage productions in London's West End and he also appeared on Broadway, alternating between the two. Their marriage lasted about 6 years, don't know if you consider that brief or not. I do ??????????
