That’s right.  I figured it out last night.  I remember now.  I thought it was a secret agent movie at first.  Because you know the Flintstones movie A Man Called Flintstone or The Man Called Flintstone and I know who that star is.  It’s one of my very favorites.  Carey Grant.

You've been corrected before. Would you PLEASE spell Cary Grant's name correctly. It is NOT Carey, there is NO E in the spelling. We'd all appreciate it.

  2. Thanks Chaya.

This actor worked with Hitchcock a few times in films and tv. In one film he's got an important part as far as the plot line goes, although he's only seen for a few minutes in the film. In another film he has a lead role. Actor and the 2 films ???

It wasn't MacDonald Carey (and he had a bigger role than this actor - blink and you'll miss him).  The soap opera is General Hospital.

John Beradino played Dr. Steve Hardy on General Hospital. He played a Sheriff in North By Northwest. ??

  4. Chorus
Casey would waltz with a strawberry blonde,
    And the band played on.
He'd glide cross the floor with the girl he adored,
    And the band played on.
But his brain was so loaded it nearly exploded,
The poor girl would shake with alarm.
He'd ne'er leave the girl with the strawberry curls,
    And the band played on.

I think I saw this on "Saturday Night at the Movies"--and that was a long time ago. 😰

There's No Business Like Show Business--"Heat Wave"

The guy was Donald O'Connor. But you couldn't blame him because the girl was Marilyn Monroe.

Correct Princess, There's No Business Like Show Business and  who could blame him, except Ethel Merman who played Donald's mother and she could blame him. She was not happy giving up the Heat Wave number to Marilyn in the film, LOL. Love this film, it's one of my go to films when I just want to relax and be entertained.

    You're up next Princess.

  6. He's an entertainer also. Sometime later his act and the woman are performing at the same hotel. She is performing the same act and she convinces him to let her perform the routine so he agrees to let her do the routine because he's very attracted to her even though he and the others in the act already have costumes.

  7. All correct, not sure why you were confused though. Clues were clear and you did arrive at the correct conclusion. Dick Powell played Amos Burke in the episode Who Killed Julie Greer. on his tv show Dick Powell Theater (Show) Two years later Gene Barry played Amos Burke in Burke's Law and Burke's Law was considered a spin-off of that episode when Dick played Amos Burke in that episode on The Dick Powell Show. Glad you figured it out, good work. Your thread Miles, here's hoping we get some participation.

  8. Time for giveaway clues.

The first show starred a famous actor who was in musicals, dramas, comedies and  famous noirs. He was also an exec producer and director  and the tv show's title has his name in it. The 2nd  tv show starred an actor who starred in a famous sci-fi movie and had a tv career in a famous role before this show. Please read all the clues and I'm sure you'll  come up with the answers.

A ranch hand, who has tamed a wild horse so that he can ride it, is out on the range one day with the horse when he suffers a fall.  He is too injured to climb back on the horse, so he uses his neckerchief to tie one arm to a stirrup and tells the horse to go home.  The horse then drags the man all the way back to the ranch.

  10. I have to say I know I saw Change of Habit on tv  a few years back and I think it was TCM. I really respect the hard work MCO puts into this and you maybe correct in this case but I do remember seeing the film and I think it might have been TCM.

The main character in a classic tv series was first introduced in  an episode  on another classic tv show. The character in the episode of the first tv show and the other tv show were played by film and tv actors that were well known.  Both shows had famous guest stars that appeared in episodes.  Both shows, the character name and the 2 actors ?????
