A lot of films come to my mind, but one mostly. One that hits close to home to me and my family.
Called SINCE YOU WENT AWAY in 1944. Just the story line itself says a lot. At some parts of the film I'm crying, and other parts I'm laughing. The death scene REALLY hits me with power, bc it's so real to me. And I just want to know, what film or films inspires you?

One star that comes to my mind is VERA-ELLEN . I've seen her in only two films on TCM. Which one is playing tomorrow night and I can't wait! one of my all time fav.

oh WOW, talk about a thread getting out of control and boy this one sure has.
OK, let's get something clear, I didn't mean to start all this bitterness. When I created this thread I didn't mean to **** people off. I created for people to voice their "opinion" about an actors.
And if we say something to hurt someone else feeling ( and you all know who i mean) then that's just to bad. At first i think i was just a little to nice with you people and the past couple days my husband and i have gone though some personal problems and i'm not in any shape right now to take any harsh feedback.
Just ask MRSMCQUEEN she's my sister and she knows me. and if you feel the need to avoided this thread by all means do so! i will not stand in your way! it really hurts me to look at what has happened to this thread. i've said once i'll say it again I'M SORRY! if this little thread has stepped on peoples precious toes. so maybe just maybe, can we forget what was said? and MOVE ON!
I think that would be right thing to do. so now lets see, if we can do that?....

Once again I agree with you 100%. McQueen is one of my all time fav.

CineMaven I couldn't agree with you more, I've been known to pull an all nighter watching my fav. star. And I'm sorry if THIS thread has caused some discomfort I didn't mean to do that at all.

And I agree with some of you about Katharine Hepburn I'm a fan of her BUT I can only take her in small amounts. Love all her films with Spencer Tracy both of them just worked great together. One of the films they did together that I just love is "Without Love" and I don't think is gets enough respect as it should.

Now this may have already come up BUT.....
I like almost all of them but some i just don't understand. For example Garbo, I have seen her films and please don't get me wrong, i just don't like her sorry, but i don't. not sure what it is i don't like.
