1462 is I Love You Again. Yes.
1467 is Mr. Buddwing. No.
1469 is Overboard. No.
1470 is Dead Again. Yes.
Only two I can say I've seen for sure. I can't identify any of the others. I don't see Random Harvest, but maybe you've done it before!
-
I've seen The Detective. I didn't recognize Sinatra with his hands partially covering his face. So, I've only seen one. My all-time low, the Yvonne DeCarlo "specialty" list excluded.

That's interesting. The Searchers is the only movie to feature both John Wayne and Natalie Wood, and one has replaced the other on the schedule.

I recognize some of the actors in the first three, but I don't know what the movies are.
1454 is The Fallen Idol. I would have gotten that one even if it hadn't already been identified above. But I haven't seen it.
1455 Not really sure who the man is. That might help. I'll have to wait for it to be identified.
1456 All That Heaven Allows? No.
1460 It's already been identified. I wouldn't have been able to guess, and I haven't seen it.
Well, at the moment I'm at zero for movies I've actually seen, which has only happened to me once before (with the Yvonne DeCarlo list). I'm hoping there are at least a couple of seen but just can't identify.

1442 is Anchors Aweigh. Yes.
1443 is The Big Clock. Yes.
1445 is The Misfits. No.
1448 is The Amityville Horror. No.
1449 is Punchline. No.
1450 is For the Boys. No.
I don't know the others.
Looks like I've only seen two.

I've seen What Price Hollywood? and Two-Faced Woman. I really wanted to guess that was what 1432 was, but I hesitated.
So, I've seen five.
-
Once again, I'm really struggling with all the older movies.
1437 is Inside Daisy Clover. Yes.
1439 is Popeye. Yes
1440 is Wag the Dog. Yes.
I've seen at least three!

Okay. Thanks.

Sigh.
Only because you thought one performance was not as good because it was too "gay". If you don't see what's wrong with saying that, I don't know what else to say to you.

To diminish someone's performance because they come across as a bit "gay", even in quotation marks, is insulting and diminishing to all gay people, implying that to express qualities that might represent them somehow makes an acting performance less worth watching. I'm pretty sure that's what Allhallows is saying without using so many words.

That was a specifically weird incident where TCM literally had one day where they could show Godfathers I & II for the first and probably only time ever, and they apparently had enough other Duvall films readily available to give him a SUTS day. I was watching.

I"m certainly no expert, having only done this on an amateur level and along time ago, but I would hear our directors talk about some of these issues, and my ears always perked up.
I really don't know how many liberties you're allowed to take with material still under copyright regarding costumes and scenery and such. I always got the impression the text was pretty sacred. I think you submit a form to whoever is responsible for monitoring these things to get sufficient copies of the script and the score, if there is one. This is all free, I think, but those people can send someone to check up on you and make sure you're adhering to the source material. I never saw this happen personally, but I heard directors say it had happened before.
-
Since they have two different titles, I would assume you're expected to follow the (play) script for each one. When we did My Fair Lady, we finished with the slippers line. This was 25 years ago, but still ... I would assume if you're doing Pygmalion on stage, you're supposed to end it the way it ends in the original text. I think there are certain usage laws that require this.
-
I was actually in a community theater production of My Fair Lady, so I guess I was aware of how it ended. But yeah, I guess the movie version of Pygmalion used the ending first.
If anyone's curious, I played several small parts, mostly street people. I was one of Alfie's two buddies, so I was in the numbers "With a Little Bit of Luck" and "I'm Getting Married in the Morning". And I was one of the trio of street people who get to sing in harmony at the beginning of "Wouldn't It Be Loverly?".

1422 must be The Valley of Decision. I don't think I've ever seen it all the way through.
1424 is Annie Get Your Gun. Yes.
1428 is Seems Like Old Times. Yes.
1429 Primary Colors. No.
1430 is The Devil Wears Prada. No.
I don't have a guess for the others.
Possibly I've only seen two.

I.e. any so called links between the two films, Pygmalion and My Fair Lady, pale in comparison to any links between either of the plays.
Don't both movie versions end with Eliza coming back and Higgins asking "Where the devil are my slippers?" Which would give them quite a bit in common.
-
They designate films as premieres here on the website, don't they? Although I've noticed they've often wrong about these.

Oops, Evil Under the Sun. The Mirror Crack'd was Miss Marple and not Poirot. I've been easily confused today. Pandemic is wearing me down.
I did watch A Woman Under the Influence in what may have been its only TCM airing.
So, I've only seen three of these.

Oh, my gosh that's Jessica Tandy. Duh. I haven't woken up yet. I was trying to think of a Newman-Woodward film. Never mind!

1411 Must be Bachelor Mother, right? Which I've seen, though I forgot Charles Coburn was in it, so it might be something else.
1413 is Dark Passage. I've started it a number a times. I've seen all the early scenes when he's still in the bandages, but I've never seen the whole thing.
1415 Bundle of Joy, the Bachelor Mother remake. Yes.
1418 The Mirror Crack'd. Seen parts of it, but not the whole thing, so I'll call it a No.
1420 Boy, I'm not sure! Everything looks too modern setting for it to be Mr. & Mrs. Bridge. I'll have to wait for it to be identified.
I don't know the others.
So, there's only one I'm absolutely sure I've seen! Maybe a few more. I'll have to wait.

Okay, I was wrong on Woman on the Run and Hannibal. I should have recognized Julianne Moore. I've never seen any of the former, and while I saw big chunks of the latter during the days I had dozens of movie channels, I've never seen the whole thing from beginning to end. Looks like I've only seen three of these.

1401 could be Wonder Man or The Secret Life of Walter Mitty or It's a Great Feeling. I've seen all three.
1402 Give the prominence of the door, I'm going to guess Secret Beyond the Door. It's much-praised, but I haven't seen it.
1403 is The Reckless Moment. Yes.
1404 is Les Girls? I've seen it, if it is.
1405 is Period of Adjustment. Yes.
1406 is Alfie. No.
1408 is Brighton Beach Memoirs. No.
1409 is The Client. No.
1410 is The Silence of the Lambs. Yes.
Okay, I feel a lot better about my guessing ability after going 0-for-10 with the Yvonne DeCarlo movies! 1407 is the only one I have no idea. As for actually seeing them, I've seen at least three. Maybe more, depending on a couple of my guesses.

Yep, I haven't seen any of these. My first zero on any of these lists.

They had started a trend for a handful of years where they were spotlighting a performer best known for horror roles in October, but I see the last two years were Rita Hayworth and Paul Muni. But back to it with Cushing this year.
There's a baseball game starting in three minutes, so I will have to wait and check out this schedule tonight. I'm also seeing the other thread headline about Olivia DeHavilland, which I will also have to get back to later.
