  1. (I already posted this in the Info. Thread, but I had no luck. So I'm hoping a genre specific thread might get me somewhere!! :) )

I thought I had watched this film on Neflix, but I am unable to find it in my history!

I know it was Black and White and that it had Noir undertones (if it wasn't full-on Noir)

There was a man and a woman on the run. The woman is accused of being insane and the man (who I believe is a reporter/journalist of some kind) pretends to believe that she's sane, but ends up committing her to an asylum. Shortly there after, he has a change of heart and goes back for her.

The doctors at the asylum are bad guys though, and they kidnap her and try to take her somewhere, but the journalist(?) saves her.

I remember them reuniting in the tunnel of a train.

I know it's somewhat vague, but it's all I have!

Any suggestions would be of great help!

    Thank You!!!

  3. Oh I know exactly how you feel!

I'm in college now, and a lot of my peers think it's strange that I get so frustrated with films from 1980+ being shown on TCM! A classic(from what I have learned) is something that is at least 50 years old.

TCM is pushing it by showing films made after 1960, let alone the 1980's!

I actually made something for a powerpoint debating this subject for my Public Speaking coarse: http://i34.tinypic.com/iej8rs.jpg

Yes, Denzel Washington is a great actor. Yes, his films are great. But he was born in 1954!!!! DECADES after the best films in history were made!!! He's not a legend yet! He's barely even been in the industry for 25 years! Nothing of his is a classic yet!

But my opinion of AMC has been the same ever since I was in middle school. It can't stand up to TCM! EVER! I guess to appeal to the masses, Turner Classic must show post 60's stuff every now and then, but it should be at like 4am when us classic-lovers are slumbering!!

  4. I saw it on the schedule a while ago, but I can't seem to find it now:

It's about a man and a woman who are trapped underground, or in the rubble of a destroyed building with a group of Nazis. He has a dog that's on the outside who's trying to save him. She gets stabbed. That's all I can remember!

Any help would be great! I need to write a paper on Media and WW2, and it seems to be a great topic!

  5. I'm watching the short documentary between movies by George Kennedy and there's a movie on there I feel like I should recognize, but I can't put my finger on it. He's wearing a white turtle neck sweater and a black beanie-or knit cap. At least...it could be black...it's a black and white film. But in the clip he's holding a woman in his arms, and she's either dead or unconcious...I can't make out who she is..but I was hoping that someone could help me figure out what it is. Any help would be helpful!

    Thanks!
