  1. If attracting younger viewers means not showing Astaire/Rogers films, Dean Martin, Doris Day, and all the great classics, then they will lose one young viewer immediately, me. I am only 18 and I LOVE TCM. Showing classic films not available anywhere else on television or in Blockbuster is what TCM is all about. Trying to attract a younger audience with newer films would be a mistake. Some of my generation will soon fall in love with TCM as I have when every other channel is showing commercials and reruns 24/7.

  2. I have already posted a topic about this movie to find the title, but now I want to know how I can own this movie. It is called What a Way to Go. It stars Dean Martin, Gene Kelly, Robert Mitchum, Dick Van Dyke, and Shirley MaClaine. If anyone knows whether this is for sale anywhere, please let me know.

    Thank you.

  3. Another remake to be remembered is "Father of the Bride" starring Spencer Tracy and Elizabeth Taylor. Now I haven't decided which I like better, the original with Spencer Tracy or the remake with Steve Martin. I think both are great.

Now the remake "Father of the Bride 2" was definitely better than the original "Father's Little Dividend" also starring Spencer Tracy and Elizabeth. Steve Martin's "Father of the Bride 2" was just more exciting since they made both the mother and daughter pregnant. . .

Anyone else have any thoughts about these movies?

PS (I loved the new Ocean's 11, even though the whole Rat Pack was in the original. It just couldn't compete. I felt they made the new one a little more humorous and exciting.)

  4. You won't believe it, but I was also looking for this movie. In fact, I posted a message about it before going through and looking at other messages and finding yours. I am so glad to have found the title. I love that movie.

    What a Way to go.

  5. Has anybody seen a movie starring Shirley Maclain, Gene Kelly, Dean Martin, Dick Van Dyke, and other great stars? I think it was around the 50s or 60s. Its about Shirley Maclain's character kept getting remarried because her husbands kept dying. It is a comedy and the color pink was prominent (if I remember correctly). I wanted to know the name of this movie, if anyone can help, I would appreciate it. Thanks.
