  1. I was talking to my mother about a movie the other day that neither of us could remember the name of. Two girls move to New York and can only find a run down basement apartment to live in. There's a boxer that lives nearby, or in the same building. and one of them falls in love with them. She said that Ann Sheridan starred in it but i'm not sure. Can anyone help us out?!!
  2. Does anyone know the name of the song that plays during Audrey's Star of The Month commercial? A lyrics search isn't turning up anything beyond Earth, Wind and Fire's "Shining Star" lol.
  3. FINALLY found the answer to my query, and it only took like 2 years! The name of the movie is 'Gold Diggers of 1937' and the musical number I was talking about was "Let's Put Our Heads Together." Hopefully TCM shows this one again soon.
  4. I saw a movie one night some time ago on TCM. It was a black and white film, probably from the 30s. There was one scene that featured a male singer dancing during an outdoors party. At one point during the number, he does a handstand and walks on his hands over the arms of a line of female dancers. That's the only part of it I really remember, not sure if this was choreographed by Busby Berkely or not. If anyone has any idea what movie i'm talking about I would greatly appreciate info on it!
  5. I'm looking for the name of a musical from the 1930s. I unfortunately don't remember who stars in it. One number that I remember, a guy sings at a party at someone's house. The girls are the party dance along with him. At one point during this scene, he does a handstand and then walks on the girls arms. This scene might have been choreographed by Busby Berkley, it kind of had that style to it. Any information on this would be great, thanks!
  6. I'm looking for the name of a movie that was mentioned during the TCM documentary Thou Shalt Not. It was about the Hollywood production code and all the movies that challenged it or went against it. There was one movie that was mentioned that was about a costume party that happened on a huge blimp. I can't remember the name of it or who was in it. I just remember one girl appeared to be dressed as a cat. I think John Landis was the one who talked about how kind of depraved the movie was for it's time. Anyways, if you even have the slightest clue what I'm talking about, please let me know!!!
