Hey Frank,
Yes I did see that Raining Violets has a crush on me, but that is understandable since I am very handsome and sincere, even if I'm NOT the Baron de Varville!

Wow, Mongo! That pic of Luise, Clark, Jean, and Norma is a show stopper! I can tell by that Dolly Tree outfit Jean has on that is was taken just before she dies making _Saratoga_ with Gable. I wonder why Norma and Luise showed up? Classic! Thanks!

Hey metsfan, here is another one for your collection!

Ah, this is the one! Yes, I know it well.

Since Frank is online, it reminds me of two crushes I have on Gene since I have an ardor for strong willed slightly crazed women along the lines of Scarlett O'Hara on whom I have a tremendous crush!
The first is Ellen Berent Harland from _Leave Her to Heaven_: beautiful, driven, insecure, dignified, powerful, and slightly MAD!
The second is for Isabel Bradleyl from _The Razor's Edge_: beautiful, delicate, exquisite features and HANDS, driven, sophisticated, elegant, and slightly MAD!
And, I'll throw in Larry Darrell, only because I wish I were more LIKE him: deep thinker, motivated, kind, caring, introspective, spiritual, and worthy! I don't know if I would call it a crush, but I am certainly drawn to him more than any other character in film.

That's that great picture you posted on the John Gilbert thread from _Bardelys The Magnificent_. I have not seen it yet, but I posted the picture of Vidor, Boardman, Garbo, Gilbert, Shearer, and Thalberg at the premiere on the Candids thread.

SISTERS AT PARAMOUNT!

Marlene in _Destry Rides Again_ visiting Mae on the set of _My Little Chickadee_.

Marlene in _Desire_ visits Mae on the set of _Klondike Annie_ with director Raoul Walsh.

A better picture!

Sophia Loren and Greta Garbo? No, that is her MOTHER!

As stated on the website, http://www.hollywoodwhispers.com/, "At 17, her mother won an all-Italy Greta Garbo look-alike contest run by MGM." And, WOW! She is her double from the top of her beautiful head down to her legs and FEET!

I found this one on the Internet, and I "borrowed" it for my desktop. It is FANTASTICALLY creative! I appreciate it so much when people are clever!

Well, I doubt it! You could search the Vintage shops in a big city like New York or San Francisco. Or, you could go online and search "buy" Taylor dress from _A Place in the Sun_.

Is this the picture by Genthe?

Oh metsfan, that is such a shame. I suppose he thought he was being clever, or funny dismissing his enormous contribution to film by signing that way. Thank goodness Karloff did other things or he might simply be remembered, or forgotten, as "The Monster!" It does my heart good to know YOU have him as your screen saver, now both of them, and we have all learned something anew, as we always do on this forum!
