It is difficult to find pics that are similar enough to prove what some of you are saying about who looks like whom. I have tried to find similar poses, but the make-up, style, and photography differ tremendously from the Thirties to the Sixties, and from star to star.
Anyway, features are features, and those can be compared easily enough.

Good ole Lee Tracy never seemed to get his due!
And, Tyrone has his sister beat all to HECK!

Oh, you are more than welcome, kim. Feel free to join in!

Sampson, without Deelilah?
(You all remember the famous Donny Osmond bandit? Well, he's back stealing more thread space!)

Wow, 123 people have looked at your pictures, erzbert! They may not be commenting, but they sure are looking. Who wouldn't? They are like nothing many of us have seen before.

I have never seen so many beautiful pictures of Jeanette. I really like The Lottery Bride and Monte Carlo. I realize how few films of hers I have seen. Have you seen all of these?

Alice Faye and Jean Harlow

Oh, my GOSH! What wonderful photos! You really have a nice collection, and I imagine you are only scatching the surface, so keep them coming.
I don't know Yes, Yes Yvette, but she looked gorgeous in it.

Yes, I second that emotion, georgie! And, for heaven's sake, you write very well. There are some on these threads who don't. It drives me mad when they completely disregard punctuation:
?It's me I'm back again with another movie have you guys seen Love Affair
great movie I think it was made during the 1930's about a couple who meets
on a sea voyage but are promised to both marry other people it's a great movie I think there are two different makes of this movie but the first one was the best great movie!?
But, I digress! Anyway, I just get so cussin' mad sometimes when things are put into categories like the topic we are discussing on this thread. I do get carried away!
And, rayallen, I do agree with you. I do think that for the most part the people who participate on these threads are sophisticated. Even if they don't especially care for a certain movie or actor, at least they can discuss them with some knowledge, and THAT is the key to the quality of the TCM Boards. Of course, you will always get those who enjoy ruining things for others, but fortunately they are few.

I don't want to nit pick, but shouldn't that be WHO are your favorites?
-
Ok, I can't remeber the name of the movie. It is British. They have a rendezvous in a train station and go to a friend's apartment. What do you think about that one? I think it is kinda both.

I remember distinctly; I took a date to a cinema in San Francisco to see Garbo in Grand Hotel! I was SO excited to see Garbo, and all she could talk about was Crawford! I never saw that gal again! Ha!
-
It doesn't matter! Gone With the Wind was a miracle of film making, and anyone who does't like it can just go jump!
That's like not liking Camille, or Anna Karenina, or Queen Christina, or Garbo! Ha!
-
I'm sorry, too! I don't want your head to get any smaller! Ha! You are a great poster and a great debater. I'm sorry I brought in the teacher element. It really doesn't mean anything when it comes down to it. I was just trying to explain myself, silly wasn't it?
Let's just move on and have fun! I love chick flicks! Sorry, everyone! I guess it's my wife's influence. Oh, well you can't explain it away THAT easily.
I do enjoy your posts georgie, so let's just give up on this! Unless someone else has something earth shattering to say.

-
Well, it is only because it's Hedy Lamarr and Victor Mature! Ha!
-
Oh, my gosh! I love Jeanette! And, Nelson! Anytime a movie of their's is on, I watch it! Unfortunately, I haven't seen all of them, but I have seen many.
Here are a couple of pics:

Well, as impossible as I know it is, I would have liked Samson to run away with Delilah to Egypt when they had the chance! Then, there would have been no castastrophe and no deaths. If Miriam hadn't come to the camp when she did, Delilah wouldn't have been consumed with jealosy enough to cut off Samson's hair, and they could have slipped off together and lived happily ever after! Ah, what a WONDERFUL Samson and Delilah story!

I'm sorry I suck. And, I'm sorry I voiced my opinion. Carry on!

hats off
