Within the last year I saw a movie on TCM which I really liked. It wasn't available on DVD, so I forgot the name, but I'd still like to know so I can keep looking for it.
It was made in the 40's. I don't know who was in it!
Synopsis (As I recall): Wealthy wheelchair bound daughter schooling in Europe, mother dies, father remarries gold-digger. Daughter comes home to check on the situation, step-mother/boyfriend try to make daughter go crazy. Fabulous ending: Father dead, daughter not daughter but daughter's concerned friend (daughter dead) who is NOT crippled, family car driver is really a detective working with faux-daughter and finally step-mother's boyfriend pushes step-mother off cliff (in wheel chair) thinking it's the daughter!
