You are correct. One of my favorite scenes in "The Bank Dick" is when Fields takes the bank examiner, J. Pinkerton Snoopington (Franklin Pangborn) to his favorite saloon, The Black Pussycat Cafe. There is sunlight streaming through a window. The examiner asks if it's okay to pull down the shade. Fields' response is "You can pull anything you want here. It's a regular joint." Your thread, Metz.

Thanks, I was sweating that one out! Here's one almost as tough. In the movie "Never Give A Sucker An Even Break", which was shown this past week, there is a scene with W.C. Fields standing in front of a billboard that advertised a movie. What was that movie?

Mary Frances Crosby - Daughter For those of you who are new to this thread, I imposed the "No Spouses" rule at the start because it would be too easy if we included spouses. We would be getting every famous couple in show business. We would get all of Ava Gardner's husbands and Eddie Fisher's wives, and Liz and Zsa Zsa. This way, I figured, would be a little more challenging. So when you post a name, please have a famous relative of that person in mind who uses a different last name and is not their spouse. Thanks. And now, here's someone who is on TCM tonight. Priscilla Presley

Bennett Cerf's wife was a cousin of Ginger Rogers. The panelist who was fired was Hal Block. There are a couple of possible reasons for his firing. Some say it's because he pulled a Harpo Marx routine and started chasing an attractive guest after it was revealed that she was a minister. Another story is that he was getting hand signals from his sister in the audience when he guessed that another woman was a jazz drummer. If this isn't right, then it's one down and nine to go!

Danny Thomas played songwriter Gus Kahn in "I'll See You In My Dreams" with Doris Day (1951). If that's right, then I'll defer to cmvgor, who opened the door on this one.
