  2. In case anyone is wondering about The Princess Of Tap's post, Prudence Farrow is the inspiration for the Beatles' song "Dear Prudence".

We have all the photos identified now. Since Lavender and Princess don't post photos, we will turn the thread over to Peebs.

  5. You may be right, Peebs.  Your photo of the girl in the black hat  seems to be the same girl that's in my photo.    In my defense, my photo was identified as Mia in Pinterest.  Now, I've also seen it identified as Prudence Farrow and Stephanie Farrow in other sources.

We still have four more to identify:  #3, 9, 12, and 14.

#3's father and brother once appeared in a movie together as brothers.

#9 was an actor and singer.  He once sang an Oscar winning song in the soundtrack of a movie.  His actor father had that same honor the previous year.

#12 is the daughter of a British actor who had a couple of well-publicized marriages.  She has been nominated for three prime time Emmy awards and three Tony awards.

#14 is the granddaughter of an actor and the daughter of a director.  She has been Oscar nominated three times, winning once.

Miles, thank you for doing this again. You are a peach!

Does that mean I'm a little fuzzy?  That reminds me, with no organized sports to show these days, ESPN is becoming starved for programming.  The other day they showed the finals of the National Peach Pit Spitting Contest.  They had both men's and women's divisions.  One man spit a peach pit fifty-four feet.  He had a slight wind at his back.  It's true!

  7. Very good so far, Princess, although No. 1 was known as John Drew Barrymore or John Barrymore Jr.  His mother was actress Dolores Costello, who was mainly a silent film star, but she did appear in some talkies, including "The Magnificent Ambersons" in 1942.

  8. Let's resurrect this thread and see if anyone wants to participate.  It's a lot of fun.

  9. This thread has been dormant for a very long time.  Let's see if reviving it will stimulate a little more interest.

Here are photos of second, or maybe third  generation actors and actresses.  How many can you identify?  Can you name their famous parent or parents? This shouldn't be too difficult for the message board veterans out there.

  11. Yes, that's correct, Lavender.  In "Destination Tokyo", Warner Anderson played Cary Grant's executive officer, Andy.  Tom Tully played Torpedoman Mike Connors, who gets killed by a Japanese flyer that he is trying to rescue.   The movie ends with the submarine landing in San Francisco.  That is the setting for the TV series which ran for five or six years.    Here is a short clip:

Good job, Lavender.  The thread is yours.

  12. Two of the actors who were in the movie "Destination Tokyo", which was shown on TCM on Monday night, were co-stars of a 1950's dramatic TV series.    Can you name the actors and the TV series?

Princess, it's been a while now.  Please post the next question.  Thanks.

  15. Yes, that's the movie.  Janet Leigh plays his girlfriend.  One of her sisters is played by young Sharon McManus, who was the little girl who danced with Gene in "Anchors Aweigh" years before.  Good work, Star.  You're up next.
