It's been too long, so I guess I'll give it away. It's "Westward Ho The Wagons" . Fess Parker and George Reeves starred, along with mousketeers Karen Pendleton, Cubby O'Brien, Doreen Tracy, and Tommy Cole, as well as David Stollery, who played Marty in the "Spin And Marty" serials. Karen Pendleton just passed away in October of this year. She had been a paraplegic since a car accident in 1983.

Princess, you are correct, of course. Lon Jr. had played the Frankenstein monster in "The Ghost Of Frankenstein". In fact, in his years at Universal, he got to play Dracula, The Wolf Man, and The Mummy as well.

Thanks, Star. In this movie, an actor playing a monstrous creature was called upon to throw a woman through a window. Unfortunately, he couldn't do it because he had a bad back. Another principal actor in the film put on the monster makeup and threw the woman through the window. He just put on the makeup for that one scene in the movie, but he had previously played the creature in another movie. Can you name the actors and the movie?

The song is "Rainbow Connection". It was sung by Kermit the Frog in "The Muppet Movie". It was written by Kenny Ascher and Paul Williams. Paul Williams had won an Oscar for the song "Evergreen" from "A Star Is Born" with Barbra Streisand a few years earlier.

The movie is 1947's "Nightmare Alley", which was a departure for star Tyrone Power from his usual hero roles. Studio chief Darryl F. Zanuck pulled it from release because he didn't want Power's fans to see him in that kind of role. Powers died in 1958 while filming "Solomon And Sheba". The re-release of "Nightmare Alley" did fine at the box office.

Apparently. studios hated to waste a good musical performance. In making a well known musical, a song was recorded by a professional voice-over artist for an actress who's singing voice was normally dubbed. However, the musical number was cut from the final release of that picture. The recording was later lip-synced to by Joan Crawford in a movie. Can you name the song, as well as the two movies and the voice artist?

MGM had planned to make a film to be called "Broadway Melody Of 1943" and it was to star Gene Kelly and Eleanor Powell, but it never got made. A boogie woogie dance number that Eleanor had filmed for that picture was edited into "Thousands Cheer" in 1943, which starred Gene Kelly and Kathryn Grayson. Likewise, a film clip of Lena Horne singing "Honeysuckle Rose", which had also been filmed for "Broadway Melody Of 1943", was also edited into "Thousands Cheer". Eleanor Powell left MGM in 1943 and married Glenn Ford that same year.
