That's what I thought until I looked it up. Doris Day was considered, and she probably would have made a fine Nellie Forbush, but she was under contract to Warner Bros. and the movie was produced by Twentieth Century Fox. The two studios could not agree on a loan out deal. However, Doris was not the first choice of director Joshua Logan. His choice was a young actress who was considered a hot property at the time, although she neither sang nor danced. Any other guesses?

Yes, thanks. We have them all now. As I stated earlier, some folks were in more than one photo. Luana Patten is the little girl in the first photo and she is the pretty young woman in #5. Tommy Kirk and Kevin Corcoran played brothers in five movies, "Old Yeller", "The Shaggy Dog", "Swiss Family Robinson", "Bon Voyage", and "Savage Sam", which was a sequel to "Old Yeller". Dorothy McGuire played their mother in "Old Yeller" and "Swiss Family Robinson". Fred MacMurray played their father in "The Shaggy Dog" and "Bon Voyage". Where did everyone go? This has been up all day and it's still untouched. Let me see if I can get it started. 1. Dorothy Baxter - Whitney Blake on "Hazel". Curiously, she actually had been named Mrs. Baxter at one time in real life. 2. Tod Stiles - Martin Milner on "Route 66" 5. Det. Adam Flint - Paul Burke on "The Naked City" 10. Michael Anthony - Marvin Miller on "The Millionaire". I always wished he would visit my house. 12. Adam Troy - Gardner McKay on "Adventures In Paradise". A favorite of Lavender and Princess. 13. Tom Lopaka - Robert Conrad on "Hawaiian Eye" 14. Luke McCoy - There are two of them. Richard Crenna as Luke and Michael Winkleman as his brother, Little Luke, on "The Real McCoys". Very good, Peebs. Actually, Gloria Winters played Babs Riley in the first "Life Of Riley" series which lasted less than one season from 1949 to 1950. Lugene Sanders played Babs from 1953 to 1957. Gloria Winters and Lugene Sanders later appeared together as friends on an episode of "Richard Diamond, Private Detective". Well, that wraps up the question. Thank you to everyone who participated. Well that didn't take very long. Yes, Scotty Becket had such a good early life and such a tragic adult life, as short as it was. It seems that we hear so much about child actors who couldn't cope with life when the cuteness fades and reality sets in. Nice job, Lavender. You're up next.

Nice job, Princess. That wraps up the western actors. Now we still need #4 and #13. #4 is from a fifties family sitcom that starred two movie veterans as the parents. #13 is from a sixties sitcom that was a spin-off of another very popular sitcom.

Do you know me? I was a very cute child actor. The studio thought that I resembled a young Jackie Coogan, so they dressed me in an oversize sweater and ball cap, much like Coogan wore in "The Kid". After appearing in some comedy shorts, I graduated to features, appearing with many top stars of the day, often as the son of the star or playing the star as a child. I became a very busy actor as a teenager, appearing in a string of lightweight teen comedies. However, as I progressed into adulthood, the roles dried up. I started drinking and was arrested on more than one occasion for drunkenness. I married before I was twenty, but I was an immature and abusive husband and the marriage didn't even last six months. I married again and became a father, but my drinking continued. I was arrested in Mexico for passing bad checks. I got a job on a TV show, but I was dropped from the show when I had to spend four months in jail. My second wife became an alcoholic like me. I got involved with drug dealers and was even involved in a shoot-out with police. My second marriage failed. Later, I crashed my car while driving drunk and became a cripple for life. I was on my third marriage when I tried to stab a neighbor in a dispute that my wife broke up. I tried to end it all by slashing my wrists, but that didn't work. My wife left me. I tried to stop her by hitting her with one of my crutches. Later I checked into a rehab hospital. However, I was so depressed that I committed suicide there by overdosing on barbiturates. I was thirty-eight years old. Do you know me?
