It finally came to me with that last clue. I think it's Arnold Stang. He was the voice of Top Cat (known as T.C.) and he did commercials for Chunky candy with the line "What a chunk'a chocolate!". He played Frank Sinatra's buddy in "The Man With The Golden Arm".
I checked with my old person and found that Arnold worked a lot with Milton Berle. Here they are entertaining sailors.

I found a few more shots.
This is from 1937.
MOVIE FOLK LUNCHEON GUESTS AT WHITE HOUSE. WASHINGTON, D.C. JANUARY 30. THE MOVIE STARS THAT ARE IN WASHINGTON TO HELP CELEBRATE THE PRESIDENT'S BIRTHDAY PARTY WERE LUNCHEON GUESTS OF MRS. ROOSEVELT AT THE WHITE HOUSE TODAY. THEY MET THE PRESIDENT AND ALL WISHED HIM A HAPPY BIRTHDAY. L TO R: FREDERICK JAGEL, METROPOLITAN OPERA TENOR; MISS MARSHA HUNT; ROBERT TAYLOR; MISS MARIA GAMBERELLI, DANCER; MRS. F.D. ROOSEVELT; MISS JEAN HARLOW; MISS MITZI GREEN; AND COMMISSIONER GEORGE ALLEN ON THE PORTICO OF THE WHITE HOUSE
If you believe studio bios, Marsha Hunt was just nineteen at the time. I believe she is still with us at age 101. Jean Harlow would die later that same year.
This one is from 1938.
That's Janet Gaynor with Mrs. Roosevelt.
Red Skelton grabbing the cake for himself in 1944. John Garfield and Maria Montez look on.
Lucille Ball meeting with the First Lady, 1944.
President Roosevelt was stricken with a form of polio called infantile paralysis at an early age. Mrs. Roosevelt started these annual birthday galas in 1934 to raise money to fight the disease. It was a national event held at several sites around the U.S.
In 1938 FDR is credited with founding the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis.
Eddie Cantor, seen here with Shirley Temple, urged his radio listeners to send in their loose change to the foundation. It then became known as "The March Of Dimes", which was a takeoff on the name "The March Of Time", a popular radio news show in the thirties.
Here is Mrs. Roosevelt buying ticket no. 1 for the 1940 Birthday Ball.
Irving Berlin even wrote a song about the annual ball and Glenn Millar and his Orchestra recorded it.
You can hear it on Youtube.
Since FDR was recognized as the founder of "The March Of Dimes", when he died, it was only fitting that his likeness would be placed on the dime.

Possibly you are combining details of several movies. Check out "Tomorrow Is Another Day" with Steve Cochran and Ruth Roman. In this movie the couple is on the run after they think they killed a man. To elude police, they head west and end up in a migrant worker camp.

Thanks, Starlit. Now, in the classic musical "Singin' In The Rain", young Kathy Selden, played by Debbie Reynolds, is hired by the studio to dub both the speaking and singing voice of Lina Lamont. who is played by Jean Hagen, for a sound movie called "The Dancing Cavalier". The plan was to fool the movie going public into thinking that Lina Lamont actually had a good voice. However, the producers actually fooled us, the real movie going public, because it was not Debbie Reynolds' voice that we heard either as Lina's speaking or singing voice in "The Dancing Cavalier". Who supplied Lina's speaking voice and who supplied her singing voice for "The Dancing Cavalier"?
-
It sounds like "The Unsinkable Molly Brown". MGM and director Charles Walters wanted Shirley MacLaine for the lead role, but she was unavailable, so Debbie Reynolds was cast in the lead. Later, Debbie's daughter Carrie Fisher wrote a semi-autobiographical book about a young actress struggling with a drug habit and an overbearing mother who was a show biz superstar. Debbie actually wanted to play the part of the mother, but she was talked out of it and Shirley MacLaine got the part with Meryl Streep playing the daughter.

Sorry. I kind of lost track of this thread. The song is from a musical comedy with a military setting. It was made prior to the U.S. involvement in World War II. It was performed by a singing group.

I found some more photo's of FDR's birthday party. Apparently, this was an annual celebration held to raise money for the fight against infantile paralysis.
That's Maria Montez next to Garfield.
Here's a close-up.
The woman that I thought was Maria Montez in my first photo is actually actress Jinx Falkenberg. It is Jinx who is between Joan Fontaine and Mrs. Roosevelt in my third photo.
The tall man with the mustache next to Joan Fontaine is her husband, Brian Aherne.
Here is a group photo of the celebrities at the White House.
This photo was taken on January 29, 1944. It appeared in the February 14th issue of Life magazine.
A constellation of stars forgathers in White House for annual party portrait with First Lady. Standing (left to right) are: Joan Fontaine, Martha Scott, Mary Martin, Virginia Field, Mary Pickford, Mrs. Franklin D. Roosevelt, Lucille Ball, Maria Montez, Jinx Falkenberg, Jean Cagney, Lily Pons and Patricia Collinge. Seated (left to right😞 Orchestra Leader Guy Lombardo, Brian Aherne, Writer Grantland Rice, Roland Young, Red Skelton, John Garfield, Orchestra Leader Meyer Davis, Walter Pidgeon and Brian Donlevy.
It was a formal affair in 1938.
That's Ken Murray, Fredric March, and Florence Eldredge (Mrs. March) with the first lady.
This next one is from 1941.
That's Benny Goodman, Constance Moore, and a young Sterling Hayden with Mrs. Roosevelt.
Next is 1942.
That's a partially hidden Dorothy Lamour, Rosalind Russell and band singer and actress Carol Bruce with the first lady. You may remember Carol Bruce in her later years as Mrs. Carlson, the station owner on "WKRP In Cincinnati".
FDR's final birthday party was in 1945.
As near as I can tell, we have Gene Kelly, Virginia Mayo, Gale Storm, Charles Bickford, Veronica Lake, Joe E. Brown, Jane Wyman, Myrna Loy, George Murphy, and Margaret O'Brien with Mrs. Roosevelt.
Here is a very short video clip:

This is sort of a two part question.
A well known actor once appeared in a movie that was directed by Alfred Hitchcock. He never appeared in Hitchcock's TV series, "Alfred Hitchcock Presents", but his actress daughter did. She, however, never appeared in a Hitchcock directed movie.
Another well known actor, to my knowledge, never appeared in a Hitchcock movie, but he did appear in Hitchcock's TV series. His actress daughter never appeared in Hitchcock's TV series, but she did appear in a Hitchcock movie.
Can you name the two actors, their actress daughters, and the two Hitchcock movies that I referred to?
Here's are hints: The actress who appeared in Hitchcock's TV series would become a TV star.
The actress who appeared in the Hitchcock movie worked primarily in England.

Very good. We have them all now.
#1. Edward G. Robinson, Claire Trevor, and Humphrey Bogart would work together a decade later in "Key Largo".
#6. Larry Simms played Baby Dumpling, who was later called Alexander, in the "Blondie" movie series. Karolyn Grimes, who played little Zuzu, was also in "The Bishop's Wife" a year later. Jimmy Hawkins would go on to play Tag Oakley, the younger brother of Annie, in the "Annie Oakley" TV series.
Lavender got all but one, but she doesn't post photos, so Shutoo gets to post next.

Great job, Lavender. All correct so far. We still need #1 and #6. Yes, Ted Healy and his Stooges spent a year at MGM from 1933 to 1934 before they split up. The Stooges signed with Columbia and made shorts and an occasional feature over the next thirty years.
The boys with Cagney and O'Brien had starred in the play "Dead End" on Broadway. Warner Bros. brought them to Hollywood for the movie version in 1937. They remained as a group in various combinations for years. They were called "The Dead End Kids", "The Little Tough Guys", "The East Side Kids" and, of course, "The Bowery Boys".

In these photos you need to not only identify all of the actors and actresses, but the names of the movies as well.

All I did was to go to GOOGLE IMAGES and type in different combinations like "Red Skelton and John Garfield". You might be surprised at what comes up.

Tommy Dorsey was in Du Barry Was A Lady with Dick Haymes.
-
"Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow?" was featured in "Dirty Dancing". I believe the singer is Dusty Springfield.
Next: Let's finish this off. A movie song with the word Today in the title.

You are correct, Princess. A blended family like "The Brady Bunch" was certainly not unique to TV. You're up next, Princess.

A group of Hollywood stars traveled to Washington for FDR's birthday on January 30th, 1944. Hey what day is it today?
The party was held at the Statler Hotel.
Getty images incorrectly identified Brian Donlevy as Brian Ahearn and the woman next to him as Jeanne Cagney, but I believe that it's Maria Montez. The older gentleman in the middle is identified as commissioner Russ Young. Commissioner of what, I don't know.
Here's Eleanor Roosevelt cutting the cake with Red Skelton, Lucille Ball, and John Garfield looking on.
Here's another angle with Joan Fontaine receiving a piece of cake from the first lady.

Another TV series from that same time period had a bit of a blended family premise, but no one was suing over the idea. The show had been on for a long time without that premise, but then they brought in a widow with a young daughter who would marry the male lead, who was a widower with children of his own. Guess what, the same thing happened in a 50's sitcom too. Can you name the two shows and the actors and actresses who played those parents?
-
"The Yellow Rose Of Texas" from the Roy Rogers movie of the same name.
Next: A song about space travel.

I'm thinking it might be "The Brady Bunch", about a blended family. It was created by Sherwood Schwartz, who created "Gilligan's Island" some years earlier. In 1968, the movie "Yours, Mine, And Ours" was released. It also was about a blended family and it involved Lucille Ball, Henry Fonda, and eighteen children. "The Brady Bunch" had only six kids in the family. Another possibility is "With Six You Get Eggroll", another blended family comedy with Doris Day and Brian Keith. This time there were only four kids involved. It also was released in 1968.

I'm just guessing here. Is it Charles Laughton and Maureen O'Hara? They worked together in Hitchcock's "Jamaica Inn", a British film, in 1939. They both then came to America and starred in RKO's production of "The Hunchback Of Notre Dame" in that same year of 1939. In 1943, they re-teamed for a war movie called "This Land Is Mine", which was directed by Jean Renoir.

I'm pretty sure that #7 is Googie Withers. She was in "Night And The City" with Richard Widmark.
Could #5 be Millie Perkins? Her first film was "The Diary Of Anne Frank".
