  1. That's just what I was doing. But really, being a stills collector and always tending to compile numerical lists such as stills numbers, when I saw "Paramount 1492" I couldn't help thinking I wonder what Paramount production #1492 is, and thinking that if I had it logged I could look it up and come back on here and talk about that movie as if I thought that was what you meant.
  2. Well there's a group not to be taken for "Grant"ed. So the name is Grant. next: Jean and Eleanor
  3. I know, of course!! Obviously! I did read your first post. That's why I went entirely in the other direction! You expect logic from me? Just wanted to see what you (or anyone else) would say. Hope ya didn't mind!
  4. Paramount 1492 actually was a pretty good film! As still collectors know, most studios numbered their films usually sequentially in ascending order. Well when Paramount got to #1492 the lucky movie to be assigned that number was: CLEOPATRA (1934). So Paramount 1492 was a pretty good one. For others who also find these number sequences intriguing, and to put #1492 in perspective, here are some of the other Paramount numbers from around that time: 1490 - The Witching Hour 1491 - Little Miss Marker 1492 - Cleopatra 1493 - Double Door 1494 - Belle of the Nineties 1495 - Private Scandal 1496 - Many Happy Returns 1497 - She Loves Me Not 1498 - Kiss and Make-Up 1499 - Shoot the Works 1500 - The Great Flirtation Somebody has to keep track of this stuff!
  5. Conway next: Dick, William, Eleanor, and Jane
  6. KELLY next: Edgar and Tom (no, they were not brothers, as some may still think).
  7. Quigley, Rita (Last time for "Q" I said Juanita Quigley. So now let's hear it for her older sister Rita!)
  8. Under Western Stars (1938) - Roy Rogers' first starring western.
  9. Johnson, Carmencita (child actress in the 1930's)
  10. Rockin' in the Rockies (1945 - Columbia)
  11. Walker, H.M. (writer of those funny titles in Hal Roach comedies).
  12. Brewster, June (beautiful RKO starlet in many shorts as well as features, 1933 to 1938).
  13. These A to Z lists are fun, but I see a lot of the same names (especially in the actresses & actors and the movie title lists) being posted repeatedly when certain letters come around. Wouldn't it be so much more challenging if there were some way to install something that would prevent repeat posts? Then we would need to think of a new name every time. Much more of a challenge. I'd be up for that!
