I strongly agree that Fred was a better dancer than Gene because even though Gene may have had the looks, Fred had the charisma, grace, charm, and humility to become one of the most beloved actors of all time. One of my favorite films of all time is Funny Face. Even though he may have been older, the main reason why I continue to admire and respect him is because he never gave up doing the one thing that makes him happy-dancing. He has an elegant charm that is indescribable and very captivating. His mere presence on the big screen moves you with a feeling that cannot be explained. He had a heart of gold and was loved and respected by his family, friends and lifelong fans who continue to enjoy his movies to this day, including me!!!! So in my opinion ,Gene may have had the looks, but Fred had a charming persona and so much more!!!!!

Cary Grant not winning an Oscar
in Ask Robert Osborne A Question

Cary Grant stood in a class by himself!!! Despite being ignored by the Academy Awards for his character in The Philadelphia Story and especially in Suspicion,to me when he won the Lifetime Achievement Award @ the Academy Awards in the mid 80s I believe I thought that that was his greatest achievement to be recognized by his peers for his exceptional performances in his film career, despite a couple of flops. My question is why do so many talented actors, like Cary Grant,go unnoticed until later on down the road? Cary Grant was w/o a doubt the quinnessential leading man who was very multitalented and very flexible when it came to doing a variety of roles, from romantic leads to a darker side of Cary that we have never seen!!!! If anyone agrees with what I am trying to say , please let me know. I believe that great actors such as Cary Grant should still be remembered and recognized not just by their looks but by their inner strengths, like their talent as an exceptionally gifted actor!!
