Well, Lane, count me as one who misses Dale Robertson. When I watched him in the movies, I always had the feeling that he was really enjoying himself, and not taking it all too seriously. I remember him in "Son of Sinbad." It wasn't that great a movie, but there he was in costume, but wearing cowboy boots! He also played a sympathetic role in a couple of episodes of Murder, She Wrote. I think Jessica really fell for him, but they were from two different worlds. Terrence.

Will Any of You be Watching "Bates Motel"?
Terrence1 replied to BasilBruce's topic in General Discussions
Hibi, you're right about the quality of A&E going downhill. They used to have such wonderful programs. I miss the Biography series. For an hour show, they really went into depth on the lives of the subjects. I don't think that program even exists anymore. I almost never even bother to check to see what the channel is offering these days. But I must admit that I'll probably watch Bates Motel, just out of curiosity. Terrence. -

One of the ugliest names on screen that I've seen is Peola from the original "Imitation of Life." I have not read the novel, so I don't know if this name comes from the book, or if it originated in the movie. I'm glad that in the remake she was named Sarah Jane. Otherwise, I think in the 50's that name would have been laughed off the screen. Terrence.
