Thanks for those kind thoughts, Lane. It's fun to chat about those stars that we really like. At times Dale sounded like he had a hint of a lisp in his speech, which I found endearing.

I had forgotten about Inside the Actors' Studio. I used to watch that all the time, just like Biography. I don't understand what happened, because I thought both of these programs were popular. I miss them both.

Well, Lane, count me as one who misses Dale Robertson. When I watched him in the movies, I always had the feeling that he was really enjoying himself, and not taking it all too seriously. I remember him in "Son of Sinbad." It wasn't that great a movie, but there he was in costume, but wearing cowboy boots! He also played a sympathetic role in a couple of episodes of Murder, She Wrote. I think Jessica really fell for him, but they were from two different worlds.

Hibi, you're right about the quality of A&E going downhill. They used to have such wonderful programs. I miss the Biography series. For an hour show, they really went into depth on the lives of the subjects. I don't think that program even exists anymore. I almost never even bother to check to see what the channel is offering these days. But I must admit that I'll probably watch Bates Motel, just out of curiosity.
