Carl, I'm glad you finally got to see "Double Indemnity". It's a great film. I wish I could experience all over again the first time I saw it. I remember sitting glued to the screen. And it seems that every time I watch it, I find something that I hadn't noticed before. Maybe that's a sign of an extraordinary movie.

I enjoyed seeing Ralph Meeker in "Jeopardy". It is shown often on TCM and, although one of

Barbara Stanwyck's lesser known films, it's worth watching. He again plays a baddie, but shows a little humanity in the role,.

I also watched this movie again during the Christmas season. I always pick up something I've never seen before.

There are so many little moments that are magic, especially Stanwyck's reaction to a line of dialogue. I've always wondered if Dennis Morgan's line about a nice, firm **** (referring to a cow) was just a little bit risque for the 1940's. In every respect, this is a true gem.

I'm with you, Sepiatone, when it comes to Charles Durning on Everybody Loves Raymond. I thoroughly loved him in this role. I suppose I'll always remember him most as Harlan on Evening Shade. He was so hilarious, especially when he shared scenes with the wonderful Ann Wedgeworth. He may have played the world's worst doctor, but he surely gave us lots of laughs.
