Another story that I've heard (and it may be just a rumor) is that he felt a little insecure with Cyd Charisse because of her height. It's true that when they danced together, it was pure magic. It's a shame that they only made two movies together. In addition to her height, I'm wondering if he possibly felt that Cyd , because of her exceptional talent, just might outshine him. Any thoughts on this?

I agree with you about Joan Hickson. She was close to perfect as Miss Marple. Margaret Rutherford is extremely entertaining, and I love all four of her Miss Marple movies, but she is far removed from what Ms Christie had in mind for her sleuth. I didn't see Ben's introduction to "Murder Ahoy", but referring to her as Mrs. Marple is unforgiveable. What was he thinking?

No doubt about it. Hands down, my favorite Christmas movie is "Remember the Night." Although this is not a well-known movie, TCM does manage to show it often. For anyone who loves Christmas movies, don't let this one pass you by. Stanwyck and MacMurray are wonderful, as is the supporting cast. A real feel-good movie.

There seem to be a lot of back-and-forth opinions about Sally Field in this. I, for one, believe that she is terrific as Mary Lincoln. She has only a few brief scenes, but she is believable as a mother who has recently lost a son. I would not be at all surprised if she receives an Oscar nomination.

A few days ago, someone had posted a list of all the actors who had been dubbed by real singers. For the life of me, I cannot locate this posting, and I'd like to print this out for my own use. Does anyone remember this posting, and how I might find it? Thanks so much.
