Great idea for a Marie Windsor Day. She made so many movies, and many of them have become classics over the years. I hope someone is listening to you, Cid.

Thanks, Wouldbestar, for saying something positive about Pat and Shirley Boone. Maybe that wil partially make up for someone calling him a moron.

One that comes to mind for me is Lorne Green playing Ava Gardner's father in "Earthquake". I believe there were only a couple of years difference in their ages.

It's true that he covered, early in his career, a lot of rhythm and blues songs that originally were recorded by black artists and groups. It was felt that if Pat Boone is singing this music, then, according to parents,it couldn't be too bad. I'm sure the people who wrote these songs were very grateful that Pat recorded them, because it did a lot for record sales. Of course, he did go on to record a lot of ballads and sort of came into his own.

It gives me a warm feeling to know that there are so many Cathy O'Donnell fans. I have loved her from the first time I saw her, which was in "Never Trust a Gambler" with Dane Clark. In fact, it was shown about a year ago on TCM, and it was so good to see it again. "The Girl Next Door" is an apt description of her, and not in a derogatory way. She just seemed like someone that I'd like to know in real life. I can't think of anyone in Hollywood today that even comes close to her. Like the rest of you, I really miss her.
