No connection. This was a very real-life, big name actor (in his long career) responding to an interviewer. I suppose this took place later in his life, when he had a full head of gray hair and a pair of glasses. Very handsome fellow - one of his older films was on TCM this morning.

Not Nicolas Cage. This guy has done mostly TV and Theater. One particular film gave him a boost into Hollywood history - an amazing comedy co-starring with the best in the business.

Indubitably, musical. Indubitably.

Yes, I am. I was disappointed in Cry Danger. I thought the story was to thin. I'm liking 99 River Street better, although I knew the 'murder' in the theater was a hoax before it was revealed, but it's all gelling - I think. Except for the close-ups.. they look posed; comic book-like. I wish I could look at these with my 8-year old eyes again. All these movies were great! -

Interesting choice. He and Nicolas Cage both bear a strong resemblance to the actor we're looking for here. I never realized that until you brought up Tim Carey. Our actor is from a much earlier era. Looking at Tim Carey pics might jog it loose...

Thanks, cyberella. This should be lavenderblue's thread - she pulled off 3 out of 4 with blazing speed.

Sorry again, twinkeee. Not Anita Page. Here's part of her Bio from IMDB: {font:Verdana, Arial, sans-serif}Convent-educated.... got her start in the chorus line of 'Good Morning, Dearie' at the age of 15. She was briefly in the Ziegfeld Follies and, in 1924, had a walk-on in 'Dear Sir' on Broadway. Two years later, she was picked by a talent scout to join the Paramount acting school for hopeful young debutantes...{font}
