It's the Laura Petrie Syndrome. This is a thing that is very well known in Hollywood. We see it all the time out here. Yes..all the time. She stuffs her right big toe up the bathtub faucet. This so restricts circulation to the toe in question as to prevent it from succumbing to the paralyzational effect induced throughout her body. We see this all the time.
