  1. Not *this* Joseph Cotton This is Uncle Charlie
  2. The first movie to use a swear word was *The Big Trail (1930)* starring John Wayne. It wasn't as popular as *Gone with the Wind* hence forth no one really knew about it. "They always told me Women were damn funny." The word 'f-bomb-ing' is clearly mouthed silently in the film *Sink the Bismarck! (1960)*, and the title character says it in the cartoon *Bosko's Picture Show (1933)*. I think Scott Wilson may have been the first to say the s-word in an American feature, in the film *In Cold Blood (1967)*, as for the f-bomb, I think it was first used in the films *Ulysses (1967)* and *I'll Never Forget What's'isname (1967)*. The c-word, perhaps in the 1970s with Jack Nicholson using it in *Carnal Knowledge (1971)*.

  8. The last scene went from his face in the mirror back to the previous shot - his pistol and ammo. It's left up to us to imagine his thoughts.
  9. WOW! Big difference. Ok. This girl I know. I'll let the others feast their eyes for awhile.

  11. Hi mimi, You can add all the research material yourself on the film's Overview Page. Scroll down the left side of the page and you'll see a menu for contributions. That would be a nice project. http://www.tcm.com/tcmdb/title/741431/Les-Miserables/
