Of course, you are right. You know, I don't think there are any actors from the 40's on up who can escape our immediate identification. That, IMO, is why there are so many silent stars posted; to keep us honest There seems to be no middle ground as far as photos go, only as we and our subjectivity are concerned. P.S. Don't ask me where that just came from, it just spilled out when I wasn't looking

I thought this pic looked 'motherly' enough, just a bit, to fool some of the people all of the time, and some of the people some of the time, but not all of the people.

I've noticed a volume change in Robert Osborne's recent intros. I can hear them now without having to turn the volume up over that which I was listening to during the film. His intros now seem to be even, (+/-), with the films he's presenting. This will save me hundreds of dollars on AAA batteries.

No on Mitchum. This guy's from a little earlier - came up through the silent era, all through the 1930's, and a couple 40's. He was in a couple of 30's films that revolved around airplanes - with some upcoming bigger names.
