Kidnapped is 18th century - this one is 17th. Some similarities but this one is land based. Motives are different. Kidnapped is money - this one, revenge. Two very notable male stars here. One is the servant who saves everyone from the crushing dungeon walls in the end.

Jobyna Ralston ? -
You know you've made it when your filmography has it's own Wiki-page There are only two Brando performances that haven't given me pause: *The Godfather* and *The Freshman*, the latter being my favorite. I know he's acting in other films, but it looks to me as if he's working at it. His Godfather portrayals just seem to come naturally to him - not giving the appearance of acting.

People are probably out doing other things this week. Nobody stayed to play. That young man is Charles Laughton I found your pic on a website for his old military Cycle Club - cool stuff -
Work schedules prevented this actor from playing James Bond #1

I've picked a poor choice for trivia here. There really isn't much more to reveal other than names. Here's something.. A review by Leonard Maltin: ..(lead actor) camps it up in this heavy-handed, obvious adaptation of a Robert Louis Stevenson story about a sadistic squire and his nefarious schemes. I'll reveal the title a bit later and leave the thread open.

And that, as they say, is that. -
No. A bit older than Farley. Started in silents and had a good go at talkies. His hair is lighter than appears here.

Yay! The clues worked :^0 This is Mary Eaton. Nice going, scrutney! She had a brief film career, no silents, appearing in two important early talkies: The Cocoanuts (1929) with the Marx Brothers (in which she reprised her role from the Broadway version) and Glorifying the American Girl (1929). -

Another Ziegfeld Follies girl and early sound actress, passed on, sadly, due to alcoholism in 1948. -

Alright William Haines. Nice one, gagman. No, I was just making sure somebody would latch onto something there and have an easier time of it this time around. I just got lucky with Bessie (no pun intended). -

You know you're old when.. The phrase, "Long-haired freaky people..", no longer refers to hippies of the 60's but to NFL players of the 21st century.

This guy was out of the closet in the 1930's - his career was put in the closet by MGM because of it. Besides acting, he actually was a interior designer. He never returned to film and instead started a successful interior design business with his life partner and was supported by friends in Hollywood. -
Nice one, mr6's. I just now got it - too late
