I've noticed a volume change in Robert Osborne's recent intros. I can hear them

now without having to turn the volume up over that which I was listening to during

the film. His intros now seem to be even, (+/-), with the films he's presenting.

 

This will save me hundreds of dollars on AAA batteries.

twinkeee, here he is all grown up, The two airplane films I referred to in the clue

were: Dawn Patrol and Only Angels Have Wings - excellent films

No on Mitchum. This guy's from a little earlier - came up through the silent era,

all through the 1930's, and a couple 40's. He was in a couple of 30's films that

revolved around airplanes - with some upcoming bigger names.
