Ok, first, that is Jackie Coogan. Nice work. Now, normally, unidentified photos are left to the pages buried away in unvisited topics to be dug up several years later by people like me. BUT! Her name is Celia Lipton. {quote:title=twinkeee wrote:}{quote}Yes, KD..tell us, who was that obscure blond, it's been driving me crazy too as you know !?:| :^0 You needed a ride..? Well, that last babe turned out to be a little too obscure. Here's a new one. Pic, that is. -
Thank you The country is in the grip of a housing shortage, and when mom's youngest daughter insists it's their patriotic duty to take in a border, mom surrenders her own room.

I remember those screw-in light strings, Kyle! They were a sight more dependable than what replaced them. A bit noisy, though :8} It was always easy to figure out the bad bulbs. Great card.

...because I can remember back as early as the mid 1960's in a small Iowa town. The local store was just a lazy stroll down a shady, country lane with a Nehi 'yank your drink out' machine on the front stoop which contained my favorite strawberry soda. Everyone lived in a house and, in warmer months, everyone left their windows and doors wide open. It was not uncommon for someone to leave their home unattended for indefinite periods whilst strolling about from neighbor to neighbor, walking in and out of other homes whether anyone was home or not. Neighbors would just pop in, borrow something, anything, and either stay for conversation (gossip ) or move along to the next house. You might leave your home for a cup of sugar at 6 A.M. and not get home till 2 P.M. And don't forget that Studebaker Lark in the drive.

No, not John. I believe you're in the right era, though. Trouble there is, everyone had that look back then :8} This guy was big in silents.

#1. Wrong film and actress. #1. She's at the ranch to get her out of the way - her father fears she may be named co-respondent in a divorce case. After she marries the ranch hand, her father disowns her leaving them to fend for themselves.

> MrTiki was offended when I'd call him a "Cop" he thought it was derogatory until I explained it was abbreviated "constable on patrol". See? We're not the first generation to shorten names by initials. I've read policemen's badges used to be made of copper - ergo, COP.
