  1. I believe magician Mark Wilson was behind the magic in that episode of Columbo.

Mark consulted for many TV series.

Some of the illusions, however, were only illusions for the TV audience - not "real" illusions performed as magic would be. When Santini draped a silk over a table, pulled it upward, and a lamp appeared underneath, it was the actor playing an audience member at that table who simply pulled the lamp up from beneath the table under cover of Santini's foulard - an illusion to the TV audience; a visible act to everyone shooting that scene.

  2. I do not know the answer to this, so it goes here in Information, Please!

What was the first WESTERN (cowboy) movie to show blood from being gunshot?

Many westerns had shoot-outs and gunfights with people catching bullets all over the place. They would clench up, freeze and drop, twist around, maybe even fly backwards, but for a long time we never saw any bullet holes or blood - just dry clothing and dead bodies.

  4. I use the Paint program which is included in most, if not all, Windows systems. This allows resizing to custom dimensions rather than offering only preset sizes to fit your posting needs. Some image hosting sites offer resizing options but may limit you to (their) presets.

I'll be glad to help you with Paint if you have it and wanna give it a go.
