What hooked me on this film was the ending. I love this ending. Took me completely by surprise and left me screaming "Hey! You can't do that! More! There needs to be 5 minutes more!".
Showing right here on TCM this evening - 1:30 AM EST

Here's one - not too drastic. The main problem I see here is Bogie appears to be from The Petrified Forest.. not The Maltese Falcon - and Mary Astor appears even more beautiful in this poster.

As I understand it, the studio, or whoever owns the rights (e.g., Sony Pictures) will dictate to their client (e.g., cable company) specific devices through which their films may be presented as part of their rights agreement to broadcast (or stream) . The (cable) company will have no say in the matter. You can check your provider's website for help. Some may offer explanations - some not. HULU's site offers help along these lines. HERE

Now this one is questionable. The babe in Robby's arms is nowhere to be found in the movie, along with the background images, but the inserts to the right are scenes from the film.

I'm sure there are plenty of others.

I was successful test-posting a poster from your linked page. Perhaps it was just temporary - there were a couple other features here that weren't working a few hours ago but are now.

Whipsaw (1935)Until this morning I've not seen this film, but I did manage to catch the last 40 min or so - starring Spencer Tracy and Myrna Loy.The story itself didn't interest me - run of the mill stuff - however, I was struck by the chemistry between Tracy and Loy. Both their characters were somewhat subdued in their presentations compared to other films - Tracy's moreso than Loy's. Tracy seemed to not be acting at all, appearing as if he were just a regular, down-to-earth Joe, not embelishing the part (a better pairing of these two than Test Pilot, IMO). Myrna's character seemed to fit well within Tracy's - hand in glove so to speak - as she followed his leads.Well, that's how I see this. I'm looking forward to seeing the whole movie, though, as I said, the story is of no interest, I will take great pleasure in watching these two stars play off each other. One of my first thoughts as I watched the ending.. these two would have made a great co-starring couple in their own series of films - a la Powell-Loy.. though on a different level.Every time I see Spencer Tracy in a movie I compare his performance to every other one I've seen and am continually impressed by his ability to be subtle. He can be so real at times.

I like Eddie. He seems very relaxed, knowledgeable and at home as he speaks to us. More! More!

Whatever it is today, it sure beats what they used to call this joint in upper NW Washington that was around until well into the second half of the 20th century, before changing its name to "The Washington Home" for obvious reasons. We used to visit it every day during Summer vacations in the early 1960's because it was also the home of the last nickel Coke bottle machine.
...
And then there was this. At least they didn't call it The Washington Bughouse. It's now just called St. Elizabeth's.

Speaking of St. Elizabeth's, I recall that place as "the nut house" when I was growing up in Md. Here's some interesting info on it - some may find this a bit ironic.

What if he's wearing Toreador pants?
Not much room for cropping in those pants. Might need an operation if he did.
-
I get the heebie-jeebies thinking of Tor Johnson cropped on both sides.
If Tor gets cropped, he mustn't be wearing pants. I couldn't take Tor cropped in his pants.

Here is a favorite dialogue from the ending of a 1941 classic that always chokes me up: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0033712/?ref_=nv_sr_5
Ralph Murdock (Bruce Farnsworth/Joe Pendleton) bumps into Bette Logan in the stadium:
...
This one gets me too, every time. A perfect combination of acting, script and music which swells and culminates into one great closing scene.
