  1. This film is the last on-screen pairing for these two stars and their only one in color.
  2. Go to the first post in that thread - click EDIT - click USE FULL EDITOR - change your title - click SUBMIT MODIFIED POST - when the warning pops up click the back arrow at upper left of screen - click SUBMIT MODIFIED POST one more time - that should do it
  3. Thank you, starlit. I can see Clark Gable and Jean Harlow in this - kind of like It Happened One Night on a dance floor.. LOL! It definitely would have been less depressing. I don't like a lot of films from the late 60s early 70s because they are depressing in many ways or, at least, not upbeat. How's about this.. At 66 minutes, this is the shortest film ever to be nominated for an Academy Award for Outstanding Production.
  4. The closest I can come is They Shoot Horses, Don't They? - but I can't verify the 30+ year gap between purchase of rights and film production. Originally planned to use Sydney Chaplin (Charlie's son) and Marilyn Monroe(!) Actual actors used: Jane Fonda and Michael Sarrazin.
  5. Of course! Good one, lavender! Your thread
  6. Always a favorite with me, and Janet Leigh's early films especially. Thank you. We open at a party shortly after WWI ends.
  7. I'm not sure if these actually caught fire, but they sure as heck got burned.. How about Angels In The Outfield ?
  8. That is correct, Terrence. Good work! Your thread
  9. When the company's Vice President proposes marriage, the employee is worried that her family would not be received well by his rich and famous family.
  10. A Vice President in the banker's company has fallen in love with an employee.
  11. The few photos I've found on the subject have conflicting information attached. He seems to have died in at least three different places at three different times of the day. I believe the photos and information in this article are verifiable - other sources seem tenuous.
  12. You know.. when you see a face or some features and you are reminded of a certain person but you just can't put your finger on their name... This was one of those, and as soon as I saw her name in your post I knew it was the face I was thinking of - the features are all there, though partially hidden in the original photo. Excellent work Fred!
  13. This banker intends to buy up land surrounding his (now) competitor in hopes of putting him out of business.
  14. Thank you, lavender. A banker has just returned from Washington, D.C. where he was granted a government munitions monopoly which will make him very rich.
  15. That's the one. Good work, Terrence! Your thread
