*** I accidentally hit post before I was ready. How do you edit a thread title?

Go to the first post in that thread - click EDIT - click USE FULL EDITOR - change your title - click SUBMIT MODIFIED POST - when the warning pops up click the back arrow at upper left of screen - click SUBMIT MODIFIED POST one more time - that should do it

  2. Thank you, starlit. I can see Clark Gable and Jean Harlow in this - kind of like It Happened One Night on a dance floor.. LOL! It definitely would have been less depressing. I don't like a lot of films from the late 60s early 70s because they are depressing in many ways or, at least, not upbeat.

    How's about this..

At 66 minutes, this is the shortest film ever to be nominated for

an Academy Award for Outstanding Production.

  3. The closest I can come is They Shoot Horses, Don't They? - but I can't verify the 30+ year gap between purchase of rights and film production.

Originally planned to use Sydney Chaplin (Charlie's son) and Marilyn Monroe(!)

Actual actors used: Jane Fonda and Michael Sarrazin.

  4. There are photos online of Power in costume on the S&S set, prone on the floor and being attended by various people. These photos purport to have been taken after his heart attack (he died in the ambulance on the way to the hospital). Has the authenticity of these photos ever been confirmed?

The few photos I've found on the subject have conflicting information attached. He seems to have died in at least three different places at three different times of the day. I believe the photos and information in this article are verifiable - other sources seem tenuous.

  5. Man, that one was difficult.

I want to thank lavenderblue19 for his summary, since that helped me keep the dates of birth straight.

After going through what seems like dozens of names on IMDB and Google Images, I finally hit on a search term which was similar to OLDEST ACTRESSES, or something like that (I don't remember), and I came up with this list, and her name was near the bottom of the list and her dates and country of birth were right, so I tried her in several searches on IMDB and Google Images, and that was her.

I've seen this lady in many movies and TV shows, but I never knew her name.

You know.. when you see a face or some features and you are reminded of a certain person but you just can't put your finger on their name...

This was one of those, and as soon as I saw her name in your post I knew it was the face I was thinking of - the features are all there, though partially hidden in the original photo.

    Excellent work Fred!

    :)
