Well, there's Wanda. She's been here what.. maybe 2 years now? Very nice.Donald was a carry-over from the old boards. We don't hear from him much anymore, but he still has a hand.Autumn. Autumn is a relative newcomer. He's not adjusted yet.Matthew, Kenneth and Dooley hold the high cards but leave the day to day stuff to others.

When I first read this the first thing that came to me was The Horizontal Lieutenant with Jim Hutton & Paula Prentisd but I don't remember a scene with gloves on sticks.
My first thought of the "gloves on sticks" was a cartoon.
There were lots of toons like that back in those days.

Thank you once again for your suggestion of "Mad, Mad World". It's still not the one, but I am so grateful for your suggestions. Please be the little engine that could and help me figure this out! My memories are from a long time ago. My impression of the movie is that the main character was an Army guy, and it seemed like things always went wrong for him, and he was often down/depressed. I think at the end when his friends came to the hospital, there might have been a woman along with one or two men. The main thing I remember is the arms tickling him. Fascinating, and as a child I wondered if such a thing could really happen!
This is more fun than actually finding the answer

Eventually, one of us will see these scenes in a movie and rush right over to our pooters and ring you up. There doesn't happen to be a blonde lady with a pea coat and hat doing some runway modeling.. nawww.. couldn't be.. never mind.

If you're ever in a room and hear someone say, "Peachy keen" ... that's me.

"Whodunnit" is Cyrano de Bergerac.. another good one!

.. And.. there's one N left..
The purple letters denote the "Whodunnit" and "With what?" were guessed as a whole - not one letter at a time. This means these letters may still be available elsewhere in the puzzle - or not.

Bedtime for Bonzo (1951) is on my Don't even think about it list.
I can barely watch Monkey Business (1952).

I'm saying this one is underrated because I never see or hear anything about it - not since it was first released and made it to cable years ago. I'm watching one of my favorite actors - Don Ameche - this evening, and it occurs to me there is one film which, as I say, doesn't come up in conversations.
This is Things Change (1988).
Though it is way past the golden age of Hollywood, I feel this is one of Mr. Ameche's best performances - and a very good film to boot. It's a nice, warm story with just the right touch of comedy.
I would have liked to have seen this on tonight's schedule. Maybe next year..
