  1. Someone else can post another question if they want. I don't mind if this one slips back. Perhaps a new member will dig this one up in the year 2525 and give us the answer..

    :)

Seriously.. someone else ask a question.

  2. Thank you, Miles.

    Industry related:

This film editor is the only film editor to have received Academy nominations for films edited on four different systems:

    1977 - using upright Moviola
    1979, 1990, and 1990 again - using KEM flatbed
    1996 - using Avid
    2003 - using Final Cut Pro 4

Can you name the editor ? -  6 film titles a bonus

  4. In "The Searchers", John Wayne, as Ethan Edwards, uses the expression "That'll Be The Day" several times.  Buddy Holly used that same expression, "That'll Be The Day", for the title of a hit song.

Correct on all counts! Thank you, Miles!

  5. Thank you Edythe

I hope this one is as easy. It's not directly related to film, but close.

Upon seeing The Searchers, what famous singer-songwriter was inspired by a line of dialog to write what may be their most well known hit song?

Who is this singer/songwriter? What line of dialog inspired the hit song?

                                         Which character spoke that line?
