I should?ve known I could rely on you, Mr. 6?s, to come up with the answer! Yes, it is *Blade Runner* (1982) one of the stand-outs of the 1980s?I watched it again recently and liked it as much as I did on its release. Directed by Ridley Scott, it stars Harrison Ford, top ?80s star, and Sean Young, who flamed out within just a few years?also starring Rutger Hauer, Edward James Olmos and Daryl Hannah. A classic?it?s all yours ? great work! Now don?t open the thread, I know you?ve got a great movie to post?

*A Summer Place* but there was no Percy Faith music playing in this place! No, some of the Z Boys owned it and in no time they had Fredo not only hanging 20 but skateboarding atop the Getty Museum and the Capitol Records building. My assignment completed, I returned to the Big Apple in search of my two favorite rascals, Don Draper and Roger Sterling. They weren?t hard to find, all I had to do was take a taxi to?

Well, Lana, when you put the challenge like that I can?t help but go into a research mode?you?re talking about Guy Pearce, makeup artist on *Laura* among many others during the years you mention (including *The Call of the Wild*, *How Green Was My Valley* and about 70 other films). The other Guy Pearce, of course, was a co-star of the 1997 hit *L.A. Confidential* for which Kim Basinger (oddly) won a Best Supporting Actress Oscar?

Excellent guess?but they?re not cartoon characters either?this is sci-fi noir?set in the future but with some Raymond Chandler elements?

*My Dinner with Andre* came to an abrupt and (for Andre) brutal end. I decided it might be wise to find out right now exactly what it was that Vito wanted of me. It wasn?t as simple as I?d imagined?Vito was strictly a family man and faithful to his wife, Carmella. What he wanted from me had to do with his second son, Fredo. ?Fredo,? he told me, ?isn?t like the other two boys, he?s not strong. He drinks too much and he?s always chasing trampy cocktail waitresses. I want him to meet someone like you, someone pretty but smart. He needs a woman smart enough to teach him how to??

More clues: this is a classic by a top director (still has projects in development) with an A-list star?it?s noirish but belongs to another genre?gorgeous leading lady whose career plummeted?
