  1. Stockard Channing Mick Jagger played Vacendak in *Free____* *All Quiet on the Western Front* has an anti-____ theme nickname of the actor who plays Anakin Skywalker in the recent Star Wars films

  4. Not *Sammy* - here's more - Some friends/associates who betrayed by "the driven man" - ...one was getting nowhere till they connected and though he was later betrayed, he still ended up at the top of his field. ...another was in rough shape and though the man broke her heart, she became a big success through him. ...a third became celebrated in his field through his association with the driven man. In this fellow's case, though, his loss was very great.
  5. Ella Raines Frances McDormand plays this part in *North Country* the Prince (Guinness) tells the Princess (Kelly) that a she is like __ _____, on the water she looks serene Brandon De Wilde played Wayne?s ____ in *In Harm?s Way*
  6. Jeremy Northam was in *Gosford Park* with quite a cast, including *Derek Jacobi*

  9. Hmmmm...Ruth Chatterton is more obscure than Charles Lane or John Fiedler? Nominated for Best Actress for two films...here's a way to look at this riddle - find her most discussed film (a classic) and the co-star in it who had a very long career...
  10. Not *How to Succeed...* either - This fellow has a knack for betrayal, doesn't seem personal or even intentional, he's just driven and people tend to get bruised one way or another. However, most of those connected to him end up doing just fine for themselves. Except for a pair that died.
  11. Not *Mr. Hobbs* this time - 2. Good friends were together again, but some new people, too. Interesting people.
  12. Another good guess, but it's not *Sweet Smell of Success*. Even losing at poker he manages to get a leg up.
  13. Yes, I am, though I was once known as Eunice Quedens. (I'm thinking it was "No Kicka My Dog" that gave it away - ? She is one of my favorite Eves) The thread is yours, Mr. Archer...
  14. *lavendarblue19* and I came in at just about the same time...if I remember, Crabby Appleton was rotten to the core...but I'll pick Badenov, I loved "Rocky & Bullwinkle" above everything... Buttermilk, just because I love her name (and Dale, too) Bullet the dog or Nelly Bell the jeep Message was edited by: theladyeve
  15. Fractured Fairytales Mr. Peabody and his boy Sherman or Dudley Do-Right and his horse Nell
  16. Tammy Grimes was in *Somebody Killed Her Husband* with *Jeff Bridges* (I agree on Tuesday Weld, don't understand why she didn't have a bigger career - very talented, very lovely)
  17. Watkins, Sarah - Maggie Smith in *The Honeypot*
  18. It's not *Room at the Top*, which I watch whenever it's on...the man in my film isn't an angry young man - but a very, very ambitious, determined and dynamic one.
  19. Thank you, visualfeast - I saw a little of it recently - but not really since it was out. Here's mine: 1. Vacation with the family turned out differently this year.
  20. Thank you, Mr.6's - I only saw part of it, so it took the sight of Eartha Kitt's name to bring it to mind. A charismatic and ambitious fellow left others strewn in his wake as he made his way to the top. Or did he?
